Chapter 20: The Fallen

The smell of rotten flesh taints the air as dead bodies just laying all over the place as if they were killed by some strange creature. He walks past the dead bodies being cautious "I wonder what killed these when" he bends down too look at one of the bodies saying "on a second thought i think id rather not find out what killed them" as he looks at a body with a giant hole in its chest.
He opens the book flipping through the pages stopping at a page called the first link saying "It says i need to find a artifact and unlock it by figuring out its shape puzzle and itll give me a material for me to draw out the ritual site but it must be brang back too the original site and burn one of the dead corpses for the first link". Looking around theres nothing around that looks remotly similar he says "Ohh great a game of Lost and Found this is probally why she wanted this one done first".
He looks down at the folded map in his hands saying "Does the map give me any clues of some kind maybe" as he unfolds it. When he opens it theres a symbol of a giant body of water "That looks like a clue".
Zian stumbles into a small nests blocked off by the trees accidently crushing some eggs he looks down and says "Oh shit" very worried.
A dimetrodon runs out from underneath a log giving out a loud "hiss" protecting the rest of her eggs as it spine flashes bright red trying too intimidate Zian. He puts his hands up backing away from the nest as it slowly pushes in the same direction trying too swipe at him with its claws, dodging it.
He looks at the symbol on his arm and one of the lines is drained depicting that his jump boost hasnt replenished yet.
Zian- "Damn it i gotta find a way around this thing then".
The Dimetrodon stands there blocking the way he says "The trees are too thick on both sides so i cant just walk around so i need to do something". He looks up above the animal and theres big enough branches that should allow him to be able too cross.
Zian- "Theres my way past".
It runs at him, kicking off its head he grabs onto a branch above him swinging over the nest too the other side.
He looks behind him "Oh shit" as it chases him away from the nest. Pushing through all the plants he stops almost falling off a cliff turning around there the creature is standing there as its eye glows in the dimed forest.
Looking back its just a ocean he looks over too a beach in tge distance and that seeing a small bit of ruins barely poking out of the tree line "Thats gotta be it" he says. It runs at him (Shit) almost falling off the cliff after Zian jumps off.
Falling into the water it makes a loud smack from him hitting the water hard. He uses his arms too swim up too the surface of the water swimming over too a beach close by.
When he gets out of the water the clothes on him are soaking wet but that doesnt but not too long after its starts to get dry from tge extreme heat of the sun.
While wiping the water off he says "Damn it really gets hot out here when your not covered by trees" while walking over too the ruins by him. The air suddenly becomes cool as he steps into the area sitting on a small stone pedestal is a big purple box. He picks it up noticing the different shapes on it "Now i just gotta figure out the pattern they are placed into".
Mixing and matching the shapes he fails everytime eventually giving up and searching around the ruin lifting up a different rocks giving him pieces he eventually putting them together revealing the right pattern. He burns a big part of his energy away underneath gives him the pattern he needs. Placing the pieces in order like the wall said it unlocks the box inside of it is a chalk piece covered in symbols. He pulls his key out (P.K 1) pushing in the trigger creating a rift back too the rocket.
Entering the area he stops seeing all the dead bodies are gone like thry just got up and left. His face turning pale walking toward the rocket he hears a snap in the treeline next too him something big stepping on a branch.
Turning one of the bodies over, walking over too the trees too see what that noise was. Standing there a big 6 ft creature grabes onto his face pushing him to the ground struggling too keep its sharp teeth from eating his face off "What the hell are you" kicking it off him and landing it on its back.
It runs away off too the darkness, he quickly gets up "I dont know what that was but im glad i didnt end up like them". He goes inside the rocket dragging out a dead body and laying it out on the grass grabbing the chalk and drawing a circle around the body and copying all the strange symbols from the book and burning the body.
It turns too a black crisp when the flame goes out the rest of blood spreades out too the symbols igniting them up.
The black crisp from the body turns into a goo and sinks into the floor creating a black space inside the circle the book Zian was holding forces itself over the ritual sight as the it fliping through pages at extremely fast.
It stops at a blank page and the page starts too fill in out of thin of air. After the book fell the space around the rocket became Curupt things glitching in and out of existance. Standing there stuck in place as planes and people, items and animals just float in and out through rifts.
