Chapter 12: Tracking

Stepping out the jungle Zian comes out to a big open valley with two very tall cliffs on each side. Plenty of dinosaurs grazing in a herd like livestock.
Zian- "No this cant be right its just a big open field these numbers cant be right theres nothing here damn it why did u make it so hard to track you".
Right as soon as he said that a tapejara flew by picking him up by his shoulders then flying up high. When the tapejara gets as high as it could go it hovers and the entire island you can see just how big it is because you can barely see the ends of the island even as high as he is. Hes just hanging by the claws of the Tapejara when he sees the next clue his father left for him to find a giant mountain with a tall a device on the peak of the mountain. Zian grabs onto the leg of the tapejara and climbs onto the animal back it starts to squirm around but he eventually gets it under control.
He grabs onto the head forcing it down making the animal fly down. As he reaches the top of the mountain the Reptiles winds give out and it falls short of the mountain but he jumps just in time rolling onto a small ledge.
When he gets up the scale of this device is massive and clipped to it is another small piece of paper.

"As ik you found this because of the Tapejara i domesticated. You need too know that i didnt mean to activated this device its the thing that caused that big ass hole in the sky. If you dont figure out how to deactivate that device more shit will happen to this planet than what has already happened. The marked device should still be inside the device you gotta figure out how to take them out as its what is powering it".

He looks over at the small box holding the dice with all kinds of fast moving razor blades moving at very high fast speeds.
*Gulps*
Zian- "Ok its fine.....Zian its not like your gonna loose your hand or arm or anything".
When he reaches into the box his arms are just small enough to where it barely misses the blades he sticks his whole arm in there and grabs onto the two dice they spark purple as he pulls them away from the magnetic device holding them up. When they finally release from the device they cause him to ho into a flashback of his dad.
------------------------ Flashback --------------------
-The dice appear in his hand outta thin air-
Kevin- "What the fuck how you know what i dont care maybe itll get me off this damn place".
He puts them into the box and the machine starts up shooting into the sky breaking the islands hidden barrier and creating a giant hole in the sky. As he walks away from the device theres a man standing behind him a mysterious and unkown doing something.

Waking up from the Flashback he steps back fats nearly falling off the mountains.
Zian- "That was close".
*He chuckles and lets out a slight relief*
The giant device releases back into the ground and is covered back up by dirt.
Zian- "Ok now what do i do with these things do i keep them"?
Right as soon as hes about to put them away the dice looses there color and it starts to melt onto his skin. Zian drops the dice stomping on them until they break but the color forms into all different shapes creating a mark.
Zian- "What they hell is happening to me".
The mark then glows into all sorts of colors until it flashes. The infection he was originally infected with mutates rapidally and his dna splits and splits and splits till his body is half dinosaur and half human. He falls onto the ground gasping for air as his bones move all around rearranging to different places. He starts to develop scales over his skin hardening it his entire balance is shifted from vertical to horizontal his body becomes much more heavier as more weight is added. His skull changes as his chaws becomes wider and longer and his eyes turn from a blue to and orange color.
He tries to scream for help but his voice his nothing but a loud roar. At his spine it grows a few extra feet growing him a tail as quills grow onto his arms. The mark then shows up onto the body Zian because hes been marked. He still has his normal brain i can think on his own but only im his head because he is the first successful Dg- 10 with the help of that mark.
Zian- "What the hell have a become what am i".
Standing on top of the mountain a hole opens underneath him and he lands in the plains bione he was at earlier.
*Zian starts to sniff and he can pick up the scents of creatures and track there footsteps*
Zian- "Woah i can track things much easier now maybe i can use this to my advantage".
*His stomach starts to grumble*
Zian- "How am i so hungry i ate not to long ago".
Zians animal instincts kick in and a small Psittacosaurus runs by him Zian eyeing up the prey not realizing he runs up to the smaller animal and pounses on it killing it. Zian uses his newly formed mouth and rippes the head off the dinosaur confirming the kill. He digs his teeth into his freshly killed meal and wipes it clean down to bone.
*Realizing what he did and suprised*
Zian- "Did i just do that?"..."I dont know what came over me i couldnt control myself well i am full now but damn that was brutal I know i just turned into those things but i didnt think id be capable of things like that".
-Right before he could finish his sentence he catches a scent of his fathers tracks and so he follows them-
