Chapter 9: A step backwards

{ Rift Opens } ------
----------- Months later ------------
He steps out of the rift and ends up in the middle of a jungle as smaller dinosaurs flee away when steps out. The jungle is filled with many colorful plants. As he walks forward he stops as hears loud stomping in the distance as the sound draws closer he doesnt wait any longer to find out what it is and runs into the thick jungles.
< As Zian running he starts talking to himself >
Zian- "I think ive finally got the hang of this portal thing i think i landed on the right island this time".
As Zians running through the jungle hes stopped as he comes across a stone sign covered in vines. He tears the vines down from the sign and it reads " Research Lab Of The Reinforcement Of Lithology ".
Zian- "Thats an odd name for a research lab for rocks maybe ill learn about my fathers death".
<Zian looks past the sign and sees an old dirt road>
Zian- "im gonna guess thats the way to the lab"
---------------- Few minutes later ----------------
( Mysterious vibe kicks in )
As Zian stands by the tree line that goes around a giant abandoned lab filled with holes and a roof barely standing its covered in spored and vines. As hes getting ready to head toward the building he hears loud stomping running right for him. Zian turns to his left as the treeline shakes and a Pentaceratops running for its life when a Allosaurus bites its frill stopping it right in front of the lab. The Pentaceratops puts itself into a defensive stance as the Allosaurus waiting for 1 wrong move so it can strike. The Pentaceratops goes into strike right into the Allosaurus it clips it when it moves to the side and the Allosaurus bites the of the Pentaceratops forcing it to the ground and finishing the killing the Allosaurus leaves out a loud roar.
The Allosaurus looks in the direction Zians in and runs toward Zian he backs up from the dinosaur but it bites him on the sleeve of his shirt. The dinosaur lifts him up and Zian hears the sleeve make a rips sound so he kicks off the dinosaur making the sleeve rip and he falls to the ground. Zian gets up and dashes for the entrance of the lab hoping to escape alive. Zian gets inside the lab and slams a bunch of debris over the door right before the Allosaur could peek its head in. Zian turns around as hes filled with relief to an overgrown lobby filled covered in many types of plant life with the only light in the build being natural light from the sun reaching through the holes in the roof.
< A few seconds later >
*Cough, Cough, Cough*
Zian- "Ugh its so hard to breathe in here".
As Zian keeps walking through the lobby his cough keeps getting worse. He notices a face mask on the ground and quickly puts it on.
* He starts Gasping for air and the cough goes away*
Zian- "Ahhh fuck (grunting sound)thank god that mask was there".
As hes standing in the lobby he heads over to the front desk and pics up a document.

Species of plant does it grow on: Moss or Vines
2 Types: Suicider Spore and Infectious Spore
Informations about the spores: As ive studied these odd plants as Kevin ordered ive named the 2 types ive found the Suicider Spore and the infectious spore after many experiments. The Suicider spore is a golden and pulsating spore that grows in moss it explodes when something steps near it causing burn marks on the test subjects skins and even burnt through hazmat suits. The infectious Spore is a Purple golden flower like spore that grows and controlles the vines it grows on when test subjects step near this spore the vines spike up and stab through the test subject filling the body with a toxic liquid killing the test subject after waiting a few minutes it was covered with tiny spores that released toxins into the air.

Zian- "these plants aint no joke i gotta keep an eye out for them no wonder it was so hard to breathe theres still nothing on my fathers death."

-Zian looks up to a room called the study of rocks which is where the noise came from-
As Zian approaches the door he hears something loud break and rats run out of the hole next to the door as they make a terrified squeak. Zian bends over to look into the hole and he is left terrified.
