Chapter 4: The punchline we deserve
Barbara was the first to arrive to stop killer croc but she quickly realised that she was the worse match for him. Her agility and gadgets were useless against killer crocs higher defence and strength. She barely avoided a punch by killer croc as she jumped up to its face ready throw a kick only to narrowly dodge it's crocodile mouth. The worst thing to do when fighting a croc is to jump to its mouth. Killer croc used this opportunity to grab her leg and throw her away.
Barbara was injured and she wasn't expecting any back up from the bat family.
However as she was staggering to get up, someone suddenly jumped to killer croc and put his neck in a leg lock. He used the momentum from the jump to twist the neck so killer croc reflexively twisted its body and fell down. Barbara took advantage of the opportunity to subdue the croc with high tensile rope.
Once she was done she looked at her help, who was wearing a ski mask and nodding at her.
"Great work with the rope. Nobody's getting out of that."
"And you are."
"Visiting. I'm originally from star city. Came to catch a certain joker. Who allegedly kidnapped my acquaintances little sister."
"The kidnapping incident on the 21st. There is a strong possibility it could be the joker. But we haven't had any requests for ransom."
"Yes that's exactly the one. Can't say that to the worried family members so I'm doing my part to help. But unfortunately my resources are limited."
"Well the joker isn't exactly easy to catch."
"Yes, I know the unpredictable maniac. I'm Steve rogers, if you find any news about the joker can you let me know. I have to do what I can to help my people." Krillin lied without a care while giving his phone number to batgirl.
"I can't make any promises. But I'll see what I can do."
" that's all I ask for."
Batgirl left as she heard the sirens.
Krillin had coated the card with a very secretive tracking runes. As soon as he found where the bats lair he'll be one step closer to his goal. He sighed as he looked at the deviant lying on the floor. He touched its head and infected some chaotic qi. The killer croc will die within three days.
Barbara took off her bat suit and hid it in her room. Then she started using her computer to hack into the police database. The jokers victims names have been updated and the little girls name was in that list as well. Killed by joker gas. She sighed and covered her face with her hands. "I'm sorry Steve Rogers. But that devil....."
"Don't worry, he won't live for long."
Someone whispered behind her.
"Who..."
Barbara turned around only to lose consciousness.
"Well this is what I need." Barbara's computer was a treasure trove for Krillin as he saw all the data not available to the public. It only took him a couple of minutes to pinpoint jokers possible hide outs.
He hide all traces of batgirl in the room and turn off the computer. Then she laid Barbara in bed before leaving. He could understand the want to keep secrets to protect loved ones.
Krillin searched every hide out while carrying Harley. He finally found some lackeys moving stuff to a van and Krillin followed them to an opera house.
Inside the opera house the opera was at its climax and two masked goons jumps from back stage to kill two performers. While goons with guns block every exit. The joker appears in the middle of the stage with a confetti shower.
"Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention please. The show.... is just begun."
"Spoiler alert... the Joker dies in this one." Krillin laughed.

Immortal2021 Adding Barbara Gordon as batgirl kind of made the time line weird. I’m going to use characters from everywhere just for sake of plot. So my apologies to the hardcore fans of dc.
