Chapter 1: Prologue
In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... the Doom Slayer.
These were the words James heard that made him what he is today, a die hard fan of the Doom franchise. He spent hours on y*ut*be and wiki pages and Doom 2016 clawing at any information he could find about his favorite character, the doom slayer. He had a playlist of the games songs that he listened to every day with rip and tear being on his most listened to for this new year. He has spent countless hours on this game and soon learned about Doom: Eternal.
And as the months went by and got closer to the month of February. James was always looking for any news on the game that was coming out. And one night when working, one of the customers who walked through the door held him at gun point. This guy was a local dealer everyone had knew and heard about around the area but the cops somehow never landed him in a cell. And here he was pointing a gun at James asking for him to open the register.
James who was without a doubt the bravest man alive quickly opened that register and gave it to the man holding what he called authority In front of him. Afterwards the dealer quickly took the money and then left for the door. But not before turning around almost as If James was getting spited one last time as he took aim.
