Chapter 23: Leaving
As we were walking towards the gate in Solaris were we would leave through I decided to take a look at my Leather-working skill to see how far along it progressed. When I saw how far along it cam I was actually a little bit shocked at the two days results. I had made it to Intermediate 2 which confused me, as a few days shouldn't be able to bring it that high. To figure out why I decided to send a message to Reya, as well as see how she was doing.
-Hey Reya, I was wondering if you know why my Leather-working skill got to Intermediate so fast? other than that, how has life been treating you?
-To your first question, the system saw that you had the prowess of an Intermediate level Leather-worker so it gave you much more experience towards its level. It just so happened that you were able to make it to Intermediate with how much you just did. The same should apply to Aurelia, as her runes for enchanting are from a language she made herself. As for how I've been doing, I've gotten pretty busy now that I realized something is going on, lots of investigating. It is actually partially related to that Demon core that you found, if I'm not wrong. I'd like you to take a deeper look into it, the only place I've found any strange activity is Athelney, which is the capital. I can't go myself, so if you could you'll be rewarded nicely. Thanks for checking up on me, don't be a stranger!

*New Mission- Investigate the Mystery
-Goddess Reya has entrusted the important task of looking into the root of what happened with the Demon core, which has some roots in the capital city of Artia. Find out what is happening and thwart their plans.
Rewards: 500 Points, 1 Ingenuity Point
As I finished off the conversation I questioned Aurelia about her enchanting who was also surprised to find that it had reached Intermediate 1. After I explained why that was, we had finally reached the gate where we saw Xantos waiting for us just outside of the gate. We quickly set up our party with the system and with that I finally shared the mission with the two of them.
"So I sent a message to Reya, and she asked if we could take a look into what is happening in the capital, apparently it may be related to the Demon stone. This prompted me to get this mission from the system," as I explained this to them, they nodded their heads in understanding.
"We'll I was already planning on taking us to the capital, it has the nickname city of dungeons, there are three in the immediate vicinity, all of varying ranks. Now we just have another reason to go to the capital," Xantos said in a matter of fact tone. "Most capital cities have two dungeons or a high rank one, what separates this capital is that an adventurer can stay there for a long time due to the capital having a low, mid and high rank dungeon."
"Lets get going already then, we have a long trip to go if we want to make it to the capital if I'm not wrong," Aurelia commented in her usual straight forward way towards her brother.
"Alright, alright, calm down its going to take us at least a month to get there so there's no need to rush it. I grabbed a few missions from the guild so we can do them on the way to the next stop so that we can get you to an appropriate rank by the time we reach the capital." He said in mock exasperation, followed by a cheeky smirk towards her before getting to business.
"It's really nice to see that you haven't changed much Xantos, still as sarcastic and cheeky as always, even after 23 years for you," I said with a soft tone, glad that our motley crew was back together in real life again. "Alright it's time to head to the capital, lead the way for us, it's time to head out."
