Chapter 391: A lot has changed
Yu Chen, on the other hand, looked like she hadn't even bothered to dress up. She was wearing black trousers with a white shirt, over which she had pulled on one of her signature over-sized naruto hoodies that came up to her mid-thighs. She was also wearing heels, though her's were black boots and her hair were in a half-bun, with the messy left-overs pinned in place by the butterfly clips. As was her habit, Chen hadn't put on any make-up and looked almost like a student fresh out of school.
Xi Hua laughed and the two girls headed in.
Yu Chen looked around as she entered. She scrunched up her nose, this place indeed was built only for second generation rich heirs. No self made person would think about throwing away money as freely as this place required. Chen sighed as she headed to the bar with Xi Hua, who was showing off her hotness in full glory after removing her over-coat.
The girls were fortunate. They saw Yu Mian was on shift as they made their way to the bar. Chen stomped with her heel on a man's foot who was looking at Hua with a lusty gaze on the way, as she focused on her baby sister.
Yu Mian really had changed a lot. She still had long, dark brown hair which was pulled into a high ponytail, but that was the only thing in common this girl in front of Chen had with the Mian she remembered from four years ago when she had newly moved to the city.
The girl Chen remembered was a hot but cute, fashionable but homely who liked to cook for the people she loved but forgot to herself eat whenever she was working on a book. It was a girl who could take anyone's breath away with just her smile, and lit up everyone's day just by being around. The one who liked to wear short clothes, but hated to deliberately expose her skin just to look hot.
Chen realized that a lot really had changed over the past few years as she looked at the girl in front of her. Though the features were undoubtedly the same, all the cuteness and innocence was gone from Mian's face. She had gotten an eyebrow and a lip piercing, and was wearing heavy make-up. Instead of the smile that could light up a person's day, her lips were curved into a seductive smile as she flirted with someone sitting at the bar. And the blue eyes that Chen had always loved so much, though they looked the same, there was nothing the same about them.
And Chen almost blushed at the way Mian was dressed. Though even Chen liked and wore crop, tube and tank tops, what Mian was wearing right now could easily be compared to a bra. Chen couldn't see what she was wearing on the bottom due to her being behind the counter, whether pants or a skirt, it couldn't have been worse than anything Chen imagined after seeing Mian's top.
Pushing aside her thoughts and deciding not to judge a book by it's cover, Yu Chen walked upto the bar behind Xi Hua and smiled. Mian didn't seem to notice them as she continued to flirt with the man at the bar, who clearly had more interest in her boobs than her face.
