Si Xia could take no more. He stooped down and captured Yu Chen's lips with his.
The two were deeply engrossed in their kiss when they suddenly hear a clank and broke apart.
Yu Chen was very embarrassed to see Mi Chang standing in the doorway and wanted to move away, but Si Xia had his arms wrapped tightly around her waist and wouldn't let go.
He looked at Mi Chang and asked, "Hi Chang. Do you need something."
Mi Chang seemed to be in a daze which was broken by Xia's words. She smiled and bent to pick up whatever she had dropped.
"I'm so sorry to barge in like this. I really didn't know that you would be here Chen. I just. . . I just brought this." Chang said as she walked forward and held out a brooch.
The brooch was blue and shaped like a peacock. It was beautiful and perfectly matched Xia's suit. Yu Chen wondered how much had Chang spent on it to impress Si Xia as the latter looked at her face, worried she would be jealous.
But Chen let out an angelic smile and took the brooch from Chang's hands. She intimately put the brooch on Xia's coat and fixed his tie, Xia never letting go of her waist.
Chen smiled as she looked at the brooch and then at Mi Chang. "It's beautiful Chang. And completely matches Xia's suit. Thanks."
Mi Chang smiled awkwardly as Si Xia mumbled a thanks before getting engrossed in a conversation with Yu Chen.
Once Mi Chang left, Chen playfully punched Si Xia and said, "You didn't need to act so aloof. She brought this beautiful brooch after all."
Si Xia rolled his eyes, "She's become very annoying. I brought her here because she was in a financial pinch and had nowhere to go. But now she's living here rent free. And I don't want to wear this brooch."
Yu Chen raised an eyebrow, "Why not?"
Xia smirked, "I want to wear the one you brought."
"Me?" Chen asked, pretending to be very surprised. "Yeah. I felt it in your pocket before." Si Xia said.
Chen sighed as she put her hand in her pocket, "You kill three birds with one stone huh? You kiss me, you touch me and also frisk me?"
Si Xia kissed the top of her head as she removed Chang's brooch and instead pinned and silver brooch she had brought to Xia's coat.
Si Xia looked at his watch and said, "Shoot. I'm really late! I need to go and make sure everything is in place for the proposal."
Yu Chen nodded before wrapping her arms around Si Xia and tiptoeing to capture his lips.
She kissed him for a few seconds before her lips moved to his neck.
Si Xia moaned as Chen bit and sucked a spot at his neck. "Stop Chen. Or we'll be here the whole day." Si Xia spoke, exercising all his control.
Yu Chen let out a growl before moving away from Xia's neck. She spoke, fixing his shirt, "Okay. Now off you go."
Si Xia frowned as Chen pulled him towards the door. "What were you doing anyway?" he asked.
"Nothing." Yu Chen giggled, "Just making sure everyone knows you're taken, President Si."
