Chapter 356: Don't you trust me?
Yu Chen, who had been looking a bit worriedly at Si Xia, laughed out loud.
"Oh my god! I can't believe your level of jealousy. It's mine." Chen said, wiping away tears from her eyes.
Si Xia stared at the t-shirt with a weird look before he pulled it on. "Why do you have an XL sized men's t-shirt?" Xia asked, he still sounded a bit sceptical.
Chen pouted and folded her arms, "Don't you have even a little trust in me? I bought this because I love oversized t-shirts, and men's clothes are oddly comfortable." She spoke before turning around to walk towards the kitchen.
Yu Chen was done with cleaning the spilled beer and was washing the dirty cloth in th kitchen sink when Si Xia hugged her from behind.
"I'm sorry. I spoke out of line." Xia said.
"Honestly man! What did you think? I was cheating on you?" Yu Chen spoke, she had really been hurt by the way Xia doubted her.
Chen's temper flamed further hearing Si Xia laugh. He spoke, "How could I think that? Why would you cheat when you've got the country's most handsome man wrapped around your little finger?"
"Then what did you think? Why were you acting like that?" Yu Chen snapped.
Si Xia slowly planted a kiss on the back of Chen's neck. His lips lingered there for a long time and Yu Chen felt a shiver run down her spine.
"Great!! I won't be able to stay angry for very long now!" Yu Chen thought to herself as Si Xia's hands slipped under her shirt.
"You know, I have a t-shirt just like this. So, I wasn't accusing you of cheating, I was accusing you of stealing." Si Xia murmured as he inhaled Chen's scent and buried his face in her hair.
Yu Chen stuck out her tongue. She had indeed brought this t-shirt after seeing Si Xia once wearing exactly the same. But it didn't look like Xia needed any explanation as he turned Chen around and found her lips.
A month later. . . . . . .
Yu Chen was sprawled on the sofa while Huo Zenghai anxiously paced to and fro in front of her.
"Oh god Zenghai! Stop worrying too much. I tell you the plan is perfect!!" Chen cried out as Zenghai groaned and held his head in his hands.
"But. . . .but. . .I don't want it to seem like I'm forcing her into anything." Huo Zenghai spoke, looking up at Chen.
Yu Chen face-palmed before standing up and walking over to Zenghai. She held him by the shoulders and said, "Look her Mr. Huo Zenghai. As much as I know Xi Hua, she is gonna love it! And take my word for it, she's not scared of commitment, she just needs a bit of time. And if the need be, she will go against her parents, or the world, for you. I have seen it in her eyes."
"I don't want her to go against the world, or her parents. Huo Zenghai spoke like a scared child.
All of them turned into little kids whenever Yu Chen was around. She really was the mother hen of their group.
Yu Chen hugged Zenghai and spoke, "I know Zenghai. I know. That's why you're perfect for her."
