Chapter 353: What right do you have?
Si Xia straightened up with Yu Chen in his arms and began to walk towards the apartment building.
He had walked a few paces when Si Xia abruptly came to a halt and stood there.
Yu Chen wondered what he was doing when she heard Xia's voice, "What are you doing here?"
Chen had almost opened her eyes to see who it was when a familiar voice rung through her mind, "I'm here to see Chen, obviously."
"And what right do you have to see her?" Si Xia spat through gritted teeth.
"You're asking about my right? Do you have any right to hold her like that?" Chen heard Sam chuckle.
Yu Chen felt Xia's hands around her body clench a little. She could not believe Sam's vicious tongue. He really wasn't the golden boy he pretended to be in front of her.
Si Xia spoke then, his voice bringing Chen out of her thoughts, "Yeah. Maybe I don't deserve her. But I'm trying to be a better man for her. Unlike you."
Sam scoffed, "Trying? Huh. Well, all I can say is Chen is either blind or an idiot."
"Whatever she is, you're not getting to talk to her. Now go on." Si Xia spoke, his voice emotionless.
Chen heard a stomping of a foot followed by Sam's voice, "You have no right to tell me I can't talk to her."
Xia's voice was mocking as he said, "Okay, Chen has that right. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the fact that you are here, standing in front of an apartment building, is very clear indication of the fact that Chen has already exercised that right."
This was followed by a silence in which Chen almost laughed out loud. Xia really was savage. Yu Chen had no difficulty in imagining that Sam had been rendered speechless.
"No! I won't go away without talking to her. Chen!! CHEN!!!!!" Sam began to scream, trying to wake up Yu Chen. Which, of course, only resulted in Chen making a face and snuggling deeper into Si Xia's arms.
Si Xia looked up with a smug expression and said, "I think that answers your plea. Now get going."
Sam said nothing as Si Xia walked past him and entered the apartment building.
Once the two were back at the door of Chen's apartment, Si Xia leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "How long are you going to pretend huh? The creepy guy is gone."
He then stooped down to plant a kiss on Chen's neck who giggled and opened her eyes. "How long have you known?" Yu Chen asked as she climbed down from Xia's embrace and fished out the apartment keys from her purse.
Si Xia rolled his eyes, "If you wanna convince me that you're asleep, you're going to have to do more than just close your eyes."
Yu Chen chuckled as the two walked in and she called out, "Hua!! Hua!?! Maybe she's asleep?"
Chen raced to Xi Hua's room and found the door unlocked and empty. She scratched her head facing Si Xia. "She's not back yet?" Chen spoke in a very confused voice. Xia chuckled as he walked closer, "I imagine she's spending the night at Zenghai's."
Yu Chen turned a little pink and nodded. She walked to the kitchen and asked, "Anyway, you want something?"
