Chapter 322: What's with this building?
Yu Chen pulled on high boots and her coat. It was not so cold outside today and she could do with only two layers.
Chen reached the adress Sam had given her and looked at the building.
It was a typical high-end apartment building in a posh area. Actually, it was not that far from where Huo Zenghai lived.
But Zenghai's building looked practical, here the people living seemed to be screaming that they were rich and had too much money to spend.
Yu Chen sighed as she entered the building. She was very surprised to be stopped at the main gate by a guard. "Ma'am, where's your house card?" he asked.
House card? What was this man talking about? "I don't live here. I'm here to visit a friend." Yu Chen replied, wondering what was the need for such a strong security.
"Oh. Could you tell me the flat number and the name of your friend?" The guard asked again.
Yu Chen took out her phone and said, "His name is Samuel Darcy. And he's in... let me see...yeah... apartment 85."
"Apartment 85. Mr. Darcy." The guard murmured as he dialled on a telephone.
Yu Chen tapped her leg as the guard looked at her and said, "There's a young Miss here to see Mr. Darcy from no. 85." "Miss, what name should I give them?" he asked, covering his phone.
Yu Chen was too impatient now. She wanted to rush up right now and beat Sam out of his senses. "Tell Mr. Darcy that his death is here. And if he doesn't open up right now!!!!" Yu Chen began but she never finished her sentence as Sam's voice came from the guard's phone. "Let her in. She's my friend. Don't bother her."
"Okay." the guard said and handed Yu Chen a key. Chen tilted her head and the guard replied, "It's the visitor's key. Give this at the reception and they'll give you the key of the lift."
Chen snatched the key from the guard and headed in. This building couldn't have more security if their president was living here.
She put down the key on the reception a little forcefully and the lady there eyed her before taking the key and handing her a card.
"It's the card of the elevator miss." she said.
Yu Chen took the card when the lady spoke again, "Miss, it's the visitor's key. Mr. Darcy lives on the 8th floor. Be sure not to press any other button, as it will lead to an alarm being sounded and you'll be shut in the elevator."
Yu Chen scowled as she headed towards the elevator. What was she? Some national threat to be treated this way?
Yu Chen reached the 8th floor and hammered on the door of the number 85. Sam immediately opened up, his face all smiles.
"Hii Chen!!!" he exclaimed.
"I'll be damned if I'm ever coming back here!" Yu Chen said as she walked in.
Sam chuckled and closed the door, "The security's a bit tight. But I like it here."
Chen rolled her eyes and looked around.
It didn't really look like Sam had left the five star hotel, the room was about the same.
"What do you want? Juice? Coffee?" Sam asked as he led Chen to his exquisitely decorated living room.
