The stranger stared at Si Xia with narrowed eyes for about a minute before his gaze moved to Yu Chen, who was crouched like a baby in Xia's arms. As his eyes fell on her, the stranger's black eyes turned very tender, they almost seemed to melt.
He then turned around without another word and walked towards the bar, pulling out his mobile phone.
Si Xia stood for a few seconds staring at the stranger, he did not like the look that had come in his eyes as he watched Chen, when he felt a tug on his coat.
Yu Chen pulled on Si Xia's coat and mumbled, "I'm tired. Let's go home."
Si Xia pursued his lips and said, "Yeah. Let's go home." before turning around and walking out of the door.
As soon as they walked out, a gust of cold wind hit Chen's face and she shivered.
Her coat was still back at the bar and she was wearing nothing but a short dress and net stockings.
Si Xia noticed this and hurried to his car.
As he set down Chen to open the car down, she seemed to recover a bit from the cold wind. Yu Chen stared at Si Xia's face and her hands clutched tighter around his neck, "I love you Xia.!! Don't leave me!! Please! I love you! I'll not let go. I'll not!!"
Chen exclaimed as Si Xia tried to remove her hands to set her in the passenger seat.
Si Xia was taken aback by Chen's words.
He touched his forehead to her's and muttered, "I'm not leaving you. We're going home, remember?"
Yu Chen opened her hazy eyes and stared unconvinced at him, "You'll stay with me right?" She asked, her voice like a child afraid to lose it's parents.
Si Xia kissed the tip of her nose, "Always. Now in you go."
He then helped Yu Chen in the car, took off his coat and tucked it around her like a blanket. Xia then kissed Chen's forehead before he closed the car door.
As he straightened up, Si Xia shivered.
He remembered the times Yu Chen had waited outside his house in such cold weather and a lump formed in his throat. Xia shook his head and climbed in the driver's seat before turning the heater on to the maximum.
He leaned over to Chen to make sure she was comfortable, but to his surprise, she was already breathing deeply, her head thrown back.
Si Xia smiled as he stroked Chen's head before starting the car and driving off.
As the black Mercedes drove out of view of the bar, the stranger with black eyes sitting at the bar received a call.
"Boss, the man is driving off with the girl. Should we follow the car?" A man's voice came through the phone.
The stranger replied in a dazed tone, "No, don't. The man seemed genuine enough, and looked like the girl really did recognise him. Let them go. Come back."
"Okay boss." The reply came before the call disconnected.
The stranger let out a sigh as he gulped down his whole drink and closed his eyes.
The face of an angelic girl with beautiful green eyes swam in his mind.
