Chapter 303: Who's in trouble Zenghai?
Huo Zenghai had been very fidgety ever since he received Hua's text. Yu Chen had been acting weird lately, and he did not like the idea of the two girls going drinking alone.
His mind was elsewhere as Zenghai continued to work on the report on his laptop, the one that Chen had given him.
Once forty-five minutes had passed, Zenghai rushed to Xia's office and handed the report to assistant Chuan.
"Xing Chuan, I've got someplace I need to be. Could you please give this report to the president? Thank you." saying this Huo Zenghai turned on his heel, but assistant Chuan stopped him.
"Mr. Huo! Wait!!!" he called.
Huo Zenghai turned around with a huge sigh. "What?!" he asked.
"Umm...the President has asked that all reports be personally submitted to him." Assistant Chuan answered, avoiding Zenghai's eyes.
Huo Zenghai was very impatient and he wanted to leave as soon as possible, but he was reluctant to cause problems from assistant Chuan. Zenghai grabbed the report from Chuan's hands and barged in Si Xia's office.
Si Xia had a report open in front of him, but his mind was clearly elsewhere.
Xia looked up as Huo Zenghai barged in the room. Before he could say anything, Zenghai threw the report on his desk and turned back.
"Here's the report, President. And if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now." Zenghai said through gritted teeth and started walking towards the door.
"Wait!!!!" Si Xia stopped him and Zenghai wheeled about, saying, "I don't care if you don't approve of the report. I'm leaving right now!!"
Si Xia frowned, he had not even touched the report, "You seem worried."
"Yeah I am. And that's why I am leaving." Huo Zenghai snapped and turned around.
"What has got you so rattled?" Si Xia asked again.
Huo Zenghai replied without even turning back, "My friends." He then walked out, closing the door with a slam.
Si Xia blinked as he stared at the closed door. His friends? Xia had been quite uneasy the whole evening, he did not know why.
Hearing Zenghai, Xia got up from his chair and rushed out, grabbing his coat.
Huo Zenghai had just gotten in the elevator and it's door were about to close when Si Xia ran in.
He pulled on his coat as the doors closed and the elevator started descending.
"Do you have somewhere you need to be, President Si?" Huo Zenghai asked in an emotionless voice.
"Zenghai, who's in trouble?" Si Xia asked, his whole face sick with worry.
Huo Zenghai turned his head away, "Why do you care? Don't you have to work, President Si?"
Si Xia grabbed Zenghai's shoulders and said, "I'm sorry Zenghai. I'm really sorry for the way I've been acting. I didn't know what else to do. Will you please tell me what's wrong now?"
Huo Zenghai stared at Si Xia's face. He truly looked like he was going to either cry or jump through a window if he did not know what was going on.
He sighed, "You could have talked to your friends about your problems. And don't worry, nothing is wrong."
Si Xia frowned, "Then why were you acting like that?"
Huo Zenghai rolled his eyes, "Hua sent me a text saying that she was going drinking with Chen. I just...have a bad feeling about it."
