Chapter 243: Yu Chen is worried. Si Xia is worried
Yu Chen picked up the call, her eyes never leaving Si Xia who was fighting in the yard.
"Where are you?" Sam's voice rung out from the other end.
"Sam?" Yu Chen asked in surprise.
"Yeah. Where are you? You're not at the apartment." Sam seemed a little worried.
Chen was surprised further, "You're at my apartment?"
Sam sighed, "Yes. I am here. But where are you?"
Yu Chen scratched her head, "Well you see, I'm at Si Xia's home."
Sam's stunned voice came from the other end, "Si Xia....?" Before he went silent.
"Yeah. Anyway, was there something you needed?" Yu Chen asked, but getting no response, she became a bit alarmed, "Sam? Sam?" Yu Chen heard the beep which meant that the call was cut.
She was about to call him again, but just at that moment Si Xia received a particularly nasty kick. Though he managed to block it pretty nicely, Yu Chen was still worried as she ran out into the yard, keeping her phone away.
Yu Chen helped Si Xia in after his training session and cleaned his wounds. Si Xia kept distracting her by blowing in her ear and kissing and licking any part of her that came close to his mouth.
Yu Chen giggled and blushed as he got hold of her and breathed onto her neck.
While Yu Chen and Si Xia were enjoying themselves so, elsewhere, Sam came out of the building with a dark look on his face. He looked up to the window which was Chen's room and his face darkened further. "She's at his place so early, which means she must have spent the night there. I'm going to destroy that Si Xia!! How dare he touch Chen."
Sam muttered to himself as he walked away.
Yu Chen called Sam as she sat in the car with Si Xia. He instantly picked up. "Hey. Sorry I was a bit preoccupied." Yu Chen giggled as she looked at Si Xia, who raised an eyebrow.
Sam's voice seemed oddly suppressed when it came, "Yeah. No it's my fault for calling in so early."
Yu Chen caught his tone and immediately became serious, "Sam? What's wrong?"
Si Xia stiffened upon hearing Sam's name and he picked up his ears.
"Nothing. You know what? I'm getting another call. I'll talk to you later." Sam said and cut the call.
Yu Chen removed the phone from her ear and stared at it. "What's wrong with him?" She muttered as Si Xia reached out his arm and stroked her head, "Something wrong?"
Yu Chen looked at him and leaned his hand, "I'm not sure. Hey, can you do something? Drop me at the hotel where Sam is staying."
Si Xia stiffened and stopped the car on the side of the road, "He asked you to come?"
Yu Chen shook her head, "He seemed weird. I'm just gonna check up on him. Make sure he's okay."
Si Xia said nothing as he protectively wrapped his arm around Chen's shoulders.
Yu Chen leaned into his embrace and said, "Don't worry."
Si Xia: "How can I not? My queen is asking me to leave her alone with some strange man."
Yu Chen: "Your queen is not a damsel in distress. I can take care of myself."
Si Xia raised an eyebrow. Yu Chen put up her hands in defeat, "Okay fine. But don't worry. I'll be fine. Sam can do anything but hurt me."
