Chapter 232: Yu Chen: The little devil
Seeing the secretary in a daze, Yu Chen spoke, "Could you hurry up a bit?"
The secretary snapped out of her daze and eyed Chen again before pulling out her mobile and dialing a number.
"All his employees seem to always be out of it. I wonder how Xia gets any work done?" Yu Chen thought to herself as the secretary spoke in a hushed voice on her phone.
But what she did not know was that the employees were only dazed when she was there. It was so because try to hide she may, but the way she spoke of Si Xia was a very fond one, which shocked the employees.
The secretary turned and asked, "What name should I give the President?"
Yu Chen thought for a while before smiling, "Oreo."
The woman gave Chen a weird confused look before returning back to her phone.
She returned after a moment smiling.
The secretary said, "Come in ma'am. The president asked you to wait for him in his office. He will be here shortly."
Yu Chen wanted to protest that she only wanted the car, but thought that it would be great if she could see Xia before she left.
The secretary led Chen inside the office and asked her to sit down on one of the couches.
She said, "Can I get you something miss? Coffee? Juice?"
Yu Chen shook her head. As the secretary left the office, Chen shook her head. "This one's behaviour changed in a jiffy. This is why I would never survive in a corporate job." Chen thought to herself as she scanned the office.
As she was getting bored, Yu Chen went to Si Xia's desk. There was a new tablet sitting on it, still in the box. Chen took it out and began playing with it, hoping Xia would not mind.
Inside a meeting room a floor below Si Xia's office.....
Si Xia sat with a client discussing a project.
Suddenly, assistant Xing Chuan's phone started vibrating. Of course, it was on silent, but he felt the vibration in his pocket, excused himself, walked a little distance from his boss and picked up the phone.
Assistant Chuan came back after the call and leaned towards Si Xia. He said, "Umm, President? There's a woman at your office to meet you."
Si Xia apologized to the client before he said, "Didn't I ask you to clear my schedule for the rest of the day?"
Assistant Chuan stammered, "Yes...yes. And I did President. But this woman does not have an appointment and asked for a message to be delivered to you."
Si Xia: "What message?"
Assistant Chuan: "She asked if the car was ready? Says she needs it."
Si Xia's face remained expressionless but his eyes turned warm. He already knew who had come. Xia asked again, "Did the woman give a name?" He wanted to know what had Yu Chen done. She could not get away everytime without giving a name.
Xing Chuan scratched his head, "She did. Oreo."
Si Xia almost laughed out loud upon hearing this. He really had fallen in love with a little devil. Her mind spun too fast. Xia composed himself and said, "Ask her to wait in my office. I'll come shortly. And treat her nicely."
He then turned back to his surprised client.
