Chapter 190: The most adorable devil I've ever seen
The two reached the ice-cream parlour and sat on a table in a corner.
Si Xia passed the menu to Chen saying, "Which one do you want?"
Yu Chen took up thr menu saying, "Won't you eat?"
Si Xia smiled as Chen disappeared behind the menu. After some time, she re-emerged, her face sad.
Yu Chen: "There are just too many flavours. If you let me decide, we'll probably be here the whole day." She pushed the menu towards Xia.
Si Xia chuckled as he stood up, "Then you're going to have to eat whatever I order."
Yu Chen: "As long as it's chocolate flavoured, you can be assured that not even a scoop will be left."
Si Xia went and ordered. As he came and sat back down, Yu Chen asked, "So...which one did you order?"
Si Xia put his finger on his lips as he said, "It's a surprise."
Yu Chen leaned back, "Looking forward to it."
Si Xia: "So, you plan to visit Mr. and Mrs. Mo this evening?"
Yu Chen: "Yeah. I'll also be going to meet Kio after lunch."
Si Xia was silent for some time before saying, "I'll come with."
Yu Chen was surprised, "Don't you have work after we eat?"
Si Xia chuckled as he pinched her cheek, "I'll come to dinner at the Mo mansion. And you've gotten too thin."
Yu Chen chuckled, "Sounds like my mom. But, if you go, we're going to have to inform beforehand."
Si Xia: "You want to give them a surprise? I'll call them and tell that only I would like to come for dinner."
Yu Chen leaned forward in her seat, "That's a great plan. Call them. Call them now."
Si Xia chuckled as he took out his phone and dialed Mr. Mo's number. He said, "Hello Mr. Mo, how are you?"
Yu Chen was not able to hear, so she pulled him by his shirt so that both of them were leaning across the table, Yu Chen's ear pressed to his phone.
Mr. Mo said, "I'm all right. But Mrs. Mo says she misses you kids too much."
Si Xia: "That was why I called. I was hoping I could maybe....join you both for dinner?"
Mr. Mo seemed genuinely delighted. He said, "Really? That's wonderful news!!! I'll tell Mrs. Mo to prepare something good. Ask Huo Zenghai and Xi Hua to come too."
Si Xia: "Sure."
Mr. Mo: "Great. That's great then. Should I send cars to pick you all up?"
Si Xia: "Thanks Mr. Mo. But we'll be driving there."
Mr. Mo: "Okay then. I'll tell Mrs. Mo right now."
Si Xia hung up the phone and looked at Yu Chen, who was rubbing her hands together with an evil grin on her face.
Si Xia was suddenly struck by the fact that this girl in fron of him looked like the devil himself.
"And I'm hopelessly in love with her. Because I think she's the most adorable devil I've ever met." Si Xia shook his head as he thought to himself.
By this time, his order arrived at their table.
Yu Chen looked at him with a dumb expression before saying, "What is this?"
