Chapter 189: Ice-cream. Ice-cream!!
Yu Chen's sentence made Si Xia's heart ache. He would rather have that Chen scream at him and blame him. He said, "I'm really sorry. I was the one who went overboard even though you didn't like it."
Yu Chen put the tissue in the dustbin and smiled, she had washed her face which resulted in all the make-up also getting washed away. Now Si Xia was looking at Chen's original face. Yu Chen walked upto Si Xia and said, "Are you really sorry?"
Si Xia nodded his head.
Yu Chen: "Do you want to make up for it?"
Si Xia again nodded his head. Wondering where this was going. He hoped Chen was not going to make some unreasonable demand, he knew how her mind worked. Sometimes, even the devil on her shoulder would say, "What the hell are you doing?"
Yu Chen put a finger on her chin and said, "Then.....treat me to ice-cream."
Si Xia: "....." He had expected many things, but this request was obviously not one of them.
To make sure he heard clearly, Si Xia said, "Ice-cream?"
Yu Chen pouted, "Yeah. You have to compensate to me. Are you not going to?"
Si Xia smiled and ruffled Chen's hair as he said, "Let's go."
Yu Chen punched the air in happiness. She said, "Yayyy. And I want the best chocolate flavoured one they have. The best." As she walked out of the washroom.
Si Xia smiled and walked out. He was still a little angry with himself for making Chen cry. Though it was not much, and the tears had not even fallen down, Si Xia still had promised himself after the jump that Yu Chen would never again cry due to him. And he had broken that promise.
Yu Chen grabbed onto his arm seeing that Xia was in a daze. She asked, "What's wrong?"
Si Xia looked at her and shook his head.
The two happily headed towards the private room.
Yu Chen opened the door and the two entered. Upon seeing Yu Chen holding onto Si Xia's arm, Xi Hua sighed in relief, "Seems like everything is okay."
Si Xia took out his card and handed it to Huo Zenghai.
Zenghai looked puzzled as he looked at the card, and then at Si Xia. He asked, "Where are you going?"
Yu Chen said in a sing song voice, "We're going to get ice-cream." She swinged Xia's arm from side to side as she said this.
Xi Hua let out a laugh as she said, "Ice-cream? Chen, all it took was an ice-cream? You're sure easy to coax."
Yu Chen stuck out her tongue as she said, "Yeah. So remember this the next time you mess up."
The two then turned around and walked out of the private room.
After coming out of the restaurant, Yu Chen asked, "So, where are we going?"
Si Xia: "There's a great ice-cream parlour opposite to the office."
Yu Chen: "How do you know about it? Do you take girls to eat there?"
Si Xia: "...*internally* "That's some next level suspicious girl."
Yu Chen laughed seeing his expression. She said, "I'm just teasing you. Let's go."
