Chapter 180: Dilemma
Yu Chen entered Si Xia's office. She internally whistled as she looked around. It was quite luxurious. The wall on the opposite side of the door was completely french windows, and Si Xia sat with his back to them.
His desk was also huge and Yu Chen almost drooled at his laptop. There were also three chairs in front of his desk for visitors and a luxury three sofa set in one side of the room.
On the fourth side of the room, there was a door and in the corner, what seemed like a refrigerator. Yu Chen wondered what was behind the door as she walked over to Si Xia's desk and stood in front of him.
Si Xia did not seem to notice as he did not even look up. Yu Chen coughed lightly, this seemed to do the trick. Si Xia looked up at Chen.
Yu Chen's heart stopped for a minute upon seeing his face. Xia's hair were not slicked back, instead it was messy, like he wore them during high school. Today, he was wearing an all black shirt and pant. As she recovered, Yu Chen's heart began to beat so fast that she felt like it would jump out of her chest.
"Damn. Could you be a little less handsome?" She thought internally as Yu Chen smiled and said, "Hello, Mr. Si."
Si Xia's face grew dark as he replied, "It's President Si. And I have more important things to do, could you just get to the point?"
Hearing this, Yu Chen's face fell. "He really did not recognise me." She thought.
Just as Yu Chen was about to blow her cover, Si Xia looked up with the same dark expression and said, "Come here."
Yu Chen was taken aback. She asked, "Excuse me?"
Si Xia seemed like he was really angry. He said through gritted teeth, "Come here."
Yu Chen was shocked seeing him so angry. She quietly walked around the desk towards his chair.
All this time, Si Xia kept his face down, focused on a paper in front of him. But just as Yu Chen came within an arms length, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her, so that before Yu Chen realised what was going on, she was already on his lap.
Yu Chen's face turned red as she saw how close Si Xia's face was, and felt his hands tightening around her waist.
But soon a thought crossed Chen's mind, "He does not seem to recognise me. Then why? Who does he think I am?"
Yu Chen froze upon this thought as Si Xia's face came closer and closer. He put his mouth just beside Chen's ear as he said, "Nice try. It's going to take more than this for me not to recognise you."
Yu Chen's heart immediately skipped a beat. He had known! He had known all along! Yu Chen immediately pulled her face away as she said, "You knew! And you played me like a fool!!"
Si Xia laughed, "How could I not know? It was so obvious. By the way, how did you like my acting?"
Yu Chen was so embarrassed right now. She tried to get up from his lap, saying, "To hell with your acting! How dare you scare me like that?"
Si Xia chuckled as his grasp tightened around Chen's waist, "Don't you want to know what gave you away?"
