Chapter 170: An incomplete reunion
The three went inside a private room and had dinner. It was quite enjoyable, but Yu Chen wished that their reunion dinner could have been with all the five people. Actually, it would have been better if Mian was here too.
Yu Chen pushed these thoughts away from her mind and looked at Si Xia and Xi Hua sitting.
Chen said, "Hey Hua, be careful. Make sure not to eat shrimps today. We don't have Zenghai to worry about you."
Si Xia also chimed in, "Yeah. No one is going to look like they could die any moment if you began vomiting."
Yu Chen: "Actually, if you began to vomit now..... Zenghai might just die of happiness."
Si Xia let out a chuckle on this remark while Xi Hua looked confused.
Yu Chen: "Did not understand? That's okay. Take your time."
And the two went back to eating, leaving Hua with a very confused look on her face.
It was some time before Xi Hua finally understood what Yu Chen was trying to say.
Her ears turned pink as she exclaimed, "No!!"
Yu Chen and Si Xia looked up.
Yu Chen: "What's wrong?"
Xi Hua: "We haven't.....we..."
Yu Chen: "....."
Si Xia: "..."
Yu Chen finally understood and laughed, "Oh, you're talking about my comment." And she went back to eating.
Xi Hua: "What kind of a reaction was that...."
Whatever she was about to say was cut short by the big yawn that escaped Yu Chen's lips.
Si Xia looked at her and said, "You're tired. Let's go."
Xi Hua: "Yeah. We shouldn't have kept you out so long after you just came back."
Yu Chen: "You guys are making it sound like I'm just out of a hospital. Actually, I'm fine. Just a bit jet-lagged."
Xi Hua: "That's why. Let's go."
Si Xia: "Where are you staying."
Yu Chen stiffled another yawn as she said, "I don't really know. I planned to live with Mian for a while. But now we don't even know where she is, so I guess I'll just crash at a hotel for tonight and figure something out tomorrow."
Si Xia frowned and Xi Hua said, "What? At a hotel? Definitely not."
Yu Chen: "What?"
Xi Hua: "You're not staying at a hotel till I am alive. You'll stay at my apartment."
Yu Chen: "Won't I be intruding?"
Xi Hua: "Of course not. I'll be happy to have you."
Yu Chen: "Not about that. Won't it create problems for you and Zenghai if I'm there too."
Before Hua could reply, Si Xia said, "You could stay at my place too. If you want."
Hearing this, the events of the car rushed back into Chen's mind and she blushed.
Xi Hua pushed Xia out of the way and said, "Don't worry. Me and Zenghai.....we....we don't live together. And I need a roommate anyway."
Yu Chen looked from Si Xia to Xi Hua. They were both willing to let her live with them.
Chen looked at Hua and said, "You're sure it won't be a hassle?"
Xi Hua immediately jumped up and hugged Yu Chen across the table, chanting, "We're going to live together. We're going to live together."
She then patted Si Xia on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry. I'll take good care of your heart."
