Chapter 167: He is here
Yu Chen sighed and said, "I hope she is all right."
Xi Hua put one arm around Chen and said, "Come on, cheer up. I'm sure she's fine. She is a big girl now."
Yu Chen: "Yeah. Well, at least she got her degree in literature."
Xi Hua: "See, now we're talking. Come on, let's go get something to eat." By now they both had walked out of the airport, and Hua was about to go get her car when Chen suddenly spotted something.
Yu Chen scrunched up her face and tried to look properly. Then, without warning, she shot across the road to a Ferrari parked on the other side. Chen was so excited that she barely saw where she was going. She almost bumped into a car but did not seem to care.
Yu Chen reached the other side of the road and jumped into the arms of the person there.
Just as a strong pair of arms folded around her waist, she seemed to realised what was actually happening and immediately her face reddened, her heart beat got faster ans palms became sweaty.
By the time the two broke apart, Xi Hua had joined with Yu Chen's luggage.
She said, "I should have known. Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
Si Xia looked at the girl in front of her, standing with her face down. She seemed to not have grown even an inch as she now barely reached upto his chin.
He then looked at Xi Hua and said, "I wasn't sure if I would be able to come."
Yu Chen saw that Si Xia indeed was in a formal shirt-pant. He really looked handsome wearing a sky blue shirt and navy blue pants. Looking at this look of his, Yu Chen remembered the last time she had seen him like this and her eyes dimmed a little. They had fought in the bathroom and she had said she didn't love him.
Si Xia looked at Chen and said, "You did not have dinner yet, right? Let's go something to eat."
Yu Chen: "Okay."
Si Xia looked at Hua and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"
Xi Hua: "I kind of had some heavy snacks in the evening. So yeah, I guess I'm up for dinner."
Si Xia: "Then let's go."
Xi Hua put Chen's luggage beside Xia's car as she said, "Let's meet at the great seafood restaurant downtown. I'll have to drive my own car."
Yu Chen watched Hua's retreating back and was suddenly struck by the fact that so much had changed. They had all grown up, and all of her friends even had stable lives and careers.
She was startled by Xia's voice as he instructed his driver to put the luggage in the car.
Yu Chen said in a small voice, "You have a driver?"
Si Xia looked at Chen and gave a warm smile. He said, "Let's go."
The two got in the car and sat in the back seat. They were going unusually slow as Xia had instructed the driver to drive at the slowest speed limit allowed. Yu Chen felt a fuzzy and warm feeling in her heart hearing this.
She looked at Xia's side profile to admire him. She frowned just as Si Xia turned his head to look at her and his brows furrowed.
Yu Chen was surprised at his expression and asked, "What's wrong?"
