Chapter 164: The end of the beginning
Yu Chen: "Can I ask you to do me a little favour?"
Si Xia held Chen's hands and said, "I'll make sure to come talk to Anxia as frequently as possible."
Yu Chen looked up to meet his eyes and mouthed, "Thank you."
Si Xia held the girl in his arms and softly whispered, "Don't blame yourself for anything Chen. You're doing everything you can, and it's more than enough for everyone."
Yu Chen sobbed softly in his arms as Xia stroked her head.
The truth was, she had been blaming herself for everything. Hua's incident, Kio's accident, nothing would have happened if she had not returned back to change her future. Though she had managed to change her future, she was going to pursue her dreams, Chen had somehow made the future of the people around her miserable.
Though he did not want to, Xia still had to remind Chen that she had a flight to catch. Yu Chen wiped her tears and the two headed back to Chen's apartment, where her family was staying.
Yu Chen was soon standing at the airport with her family. Yu Mian had helped her get dressed as Chen was in no mood to doll up.
Yu Chen was wearing a simple outfit with a bottle green turtleneck sweater and black pants. She had on an open hoodie over the sweater and was wearing green sandles. Her dark brown hair were pulled up in a messy bun, which Chen had made after getting irritated of Mian trying to style her hair. She had a bag pack sling over her shoulder which contained the laptop Kio had given her and other personal belongings. Yu Chen stood there and said goodbye to her family, Si Xia and Huo Zenghai.
Mrs. Yu cried and hugged Chen and told her to take care of herself. Mian hugged her and told her to call everyday telling what all new things she had done. Mr. Yu patted her head and told her to stay safe and call.
When Yu Chen got to Si Xia and Huo Zenghai, who were standing side by side, she looked at them and tears welled up in her eyes. She hugged the two of them together and said, "Take care of Hua and Kio till I get back. Hmm?"
She looked at the two and smiled through her tears. Chen then continued to look back as she went through the security check. She looked back one final time and waved goodbye before disappearing into the boarding terminal.
The five people on the airport continued to look at her plane till it took off and disappeared from view. They each had the same thought in their mind, which was...
"I'm gonna miss you Chen. And I'll wait for you to come back."
Inside the plane, Chen looked out of the window. She was going to be all alone from now on and she had to preserve, for the sake of everyone. She had to come back and make right what she had changed by going to the past. Thinking this, she closed her eyes.
