Chapter 154: Are we on a date?
Miss Zhu flashed a knowing smile, "Are you two dating? You guys make a really cute couple."
Yu Chen: "....."
Si Xia: "You have no idea how many times I've told her that."
Yu Chen: "....." *internally* "What an opportunist!!"
She then hurriedly said to Miss Zhu, "Two plates of pork dumplings, with extra filling. Actually, make it three. I'm quite hungry today. When you're done, just give me a call. We'll be at that table."
Si Xia called out as Yu Chen pulled him to a table, "And two bowls of veggie soup. I'm also rather hungry today."
Miss Zhu gave out a laugh, "Coming right up, kids."
After Yu Chen and Si Xia were seated at a table, Yu Chen said, "So, why did you want to meet up? Did something important happen?"
Si Xia: "Not really. I felt that if I was going to wait for years for you, I might as well go on a date with you before you go."
Yu Chen was exceptionally bold as she said, "What? Like some kind of payment for waiting for me?"
Si Xia: "No. I actually feel like a date isn't payment enough. Maybe you can compensate me another way."
Yu Chen almost spat out the water she was drinking. She now regretted her decision to say anything. Si Xia was really....just too much.
Yu Chen rolled her eyes and said, "How can you be so shameless?"
Si Xia: "It's not actually something you pick up. It's probably something you are born with, like a talent."
Yu Chen put up her hands, "Fine. I admit defeat."
Si Xia: "You're too quick to admit defeat."
Yu Chen: "Your mouth is too shameless to handle."
The two kept on talking, laughing and teasing each other as they ate the food. Miss Zhu was surprised to see two kids, not even 18, finish up three plates of dumplings and two bowls of soup. "They must really have been too hungry." She thought to herself.
After finishing up with dinner, the two came out of the restaurant. Si Xia looked at her and said, "Are you tired?"
Yu Chen was a little taken aback by his question. She asked, "Why do you ask?"
Si Xia: "I guess you've been running around all day. And you climbed or walked a long distance as your shoes are a little muddy. So I just wanted to know if you are too tired and just want to sleep."
Yu Chen chuckled. This guy really was too attentive to details and cared too muh about her. She said, "What did you have in mind?"
Si Xia: "Nothing much. Just a stroll in a park."
Yu Chen looked at her watch. She said, "I suppose we have time for that. I already messaged Mian that I would be a little late to come back. So a stroll wouldn't hurt."
Si Xia smiled and the two went to a nearby park. At the park, many people were walking around. There were couples, walking hand in hand, old people walking slowly, and families with kids running all around.
Yu Chen and Si Xia walked for a while before they sat on a fairly secluded bench.
