Yu Chen: "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Mian: "You actually ate a whole bowl of noodles so late into the night. You're soon gonna become a pig."
Chen: "..."
Mian: "Really sis, it's not good for the health."
Chen: "..."
Mian: "And all you left for me is the soup? Well I guess it's fine. For some reason, I'm feeling more full than when you came from the bath. Must be the smell." Suddenly, her phone dinged and Mian went back to messaging whoever it was she was talking to.
Yu Chen: "Mian, who the hell are you talking to?"
Mian put down her phone and picked up the bowl. She drank all the soup left in it and said, smacking her lips, "What has got you so mad?"
Yu Chen was so amazed at her sister that she could not even find the words. Was her sister suffering from short term memory loss? Well whatever.
Chen snatched Mian's phone and said, "Go have a bath. I prepared it for you. And don't take a shower cause it takes ages for your hair to dry up."
Mian tried to take back her phone but was defeated by the elder sister authority. She said, while heading towards the bathroom, "Kio said he wants to meet up tomorrow."
Chen: "Meet up? Why? We see each other every day."
Mian: "I don't know the details, he just asked me to pass on the message. For further details, contact him."
Yu Chen sighed as her sister made a peace sign with her fingers and headed into the bathroom. Mian's phone in her hand suddenly buzzed and she looked at it.
Chen slapped her forehead upon seeing who the message was from. She thought, "She's already chatting with Kio? I wish I was that bold. Well, whatever."
Chen stood up and chose a book. She was in no mood to study so she decided to read a fairy tale, one of her oldest books.
Chen took it in her hand and happily skipped to her room. Chen was so engrossed in the book that she did not notice when Mian entered the room. She was startled when the latter said, "How can you be so much into a book?"
Yu Chen: "Huh, what? Oh. Nothing really. You would not understand. There, your phone was continuously buzzing."
Upon hearing this Mian immediately stopped talking and rushed to her phone. She picked it up and began typing away. Yu Chen looked at her and sighed, then she returned back to her book.
The next morning.....
Yu Chen left home bright and early after breakfast. She had some errands to run before she went to London. Chen asked Mian to walked around the neighborhood a bit. The conversation between the two sisters went like this....
Chen: "Mian, I'm heading out. I'll be back by lunch time."
Mian: "Sis, you're leaving me here? I want to come with you too."
Chen: "You would get bored with all the walking around and definitely not enjoy the day."
Mian: "Still, I wanna spend the day with you."
Chen: "Okay. I'll tell you what. Spend the day looking around the neighborhood. After lunch, we will go shopping together."
