Chapter 126: Chen doesn't want to leave
Yu Chen: "She's good. Recovering very well. Today, she was in an active mood and we talked so much that she got tired and fell asleep."
Huo Zenghai turned his face towards Chen. He said, "Did she eat anything before she fell asleep?"
Yu Chen: "Don't worry. The nurse had already fed her lunch and I also made her eat two apples before falling asleep."
Huo Zenghai: "That's good then. I'm happy you were here Chen."
Yu Chen stood up. She dropped the book in Kio's lap and said, "You need to do some reading. Otherwise that brain of yours is going to rust."
Si Xia gave a proud smile as Chen walked towards Zenghai. Mo Kio said, "I'm going to get you one of these days, Chen."
Chen waved her hand and answered without looking at him, "I'll be waiting. Just make sure I don't have to wait for too long."
Si Xia stiffled a laugh as Mo Kio turned to him and said, "You're going to have a hell of a time handling her."
Si Xia looked at Chen's back with loving eyes, "I don't mind."
Mo Kio was frustrated and said, "Oh come on." And he took out his phone and buried his face in it to escape further roasting.
Yu Chen stood behind Huo Zenghai who was looking at Xi Hua. She said, "She asked me to wake her up when you guys arrived. Do you want me too?"
Si Xia and Mo Kio looked at Zenghai, who said, "Don't. She's sleeping so peacefully."
Yu Chen nodded and went back to the couch.
The three boys took out their textbooks and began with their homework.
Yu Chen went back to her book, occasionally helping the boys with some problem they encountered in their computer homeworks.
It was getting dark when Mo Kio stood up. He said, "Let's head out now."
Yu Chen: "It's still soon."
Mo Kio: "You can come tomorrow. It's getting late."
Yu Chen looked at him with puppy eyes, "Please, just ten more minutes."
Mo Kio looked helpless and was about to agree when Si Xia said, "He's right. It's not exactly safe for you to be out at night."
Yu Chen pouted and crossed her arms. She said, "You guys are going to have to carry me out of here if you want me to leave."
Mo Kio began packing up his stuff. He said, "No problem." He then turned to Si Xia and said, "Would you like to do the honours?"
Si Xia stood up without a word and packed his things in a flash. He then walked towards Yu Chen who laughed nervously, "Heheheh, are you serious? I'm very heavy, actually....."
Her face switched colours between red and white as she was shocked, then embarrassed, then shocked again. She said, "Ahhh, Xia, let me down. Please, let me down."
Si Xia had picked her up princess style and began walking towards the door. Mo Kio picked up their things and walked behind, laughing so hard that his face had turned red.
Huo Zenghai was also laughing at Chen's expression as he held his textbook.
A voice called out, "Won't even let her say bye. Tsk, you boys sure are cruel."
