Chapter 69: Xia and Chen
Before anyone could say anything else, Si Xia hung up. Huo Zenghai had just taken the phone to mess with him when the line went dead.
Yu Chen sat there smiling with tears still in her eyes as her phone vibrated. She turned it on and saw that it was a message.
Xia: 'Go somewhere where there are no idiots.'
Yu Chen looked up to see the three trying to call Xia to mess with him. She quietly got up and went out of the hall. Once in the corridor,she called him. But to her disappointment, he cut it. "What the hell is he doing?" she thought. And then she knew. Because Xia had video called her.
She picked it up and smiled. But on the other side Si Xia's face was filled with worry. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Yu Chen: "What? What?"
Si Xia: "Were you crying?"
Yu Chen then realised that she still had some drying tears across her face. She hurriedly wiped them away and shook her head. But Si Xia pressed on, so she ranted about everything that had happened. The first round, the second round, her mistake, everything. Chen was so engrossed in talking with her back to the door that she did not see three heads popping out of the door, smiling, and then disappearing.
After god knows how long, Yu Chen finally stopped. Si Xia asked, "What's wrong?"
Yu Chen: "I've been ranting about myself. I've not even asked What's going on with you."
Si Xia: "You had a lot on your mind."
Yu Chen: "I'm usually not like this. What's happened to me?"
Si Xia: "That's okay. I want myself to be special to you."
Yu Chen blushed so hard hearing this that she had to hide her face so as not to let him see.
Then she dealt with embarrassment her usual way. She changed the topic, "By the way, how is your tour going?"
Now it was Si Xia's turn to rant. He told her about how he was enjoying the tour, but was a little lonely and couldn't wait to meet up with them.
Yu Chen was sitting on the floor leaning on the wall, when Xi Hua came out. She forced her face in front of Yu Chen's phone and said, "Okay you two love-birds, that's enough. The second round is about over, only two teams are left coding. Let's go inside."
Yu Chen looked at her, "It's over?"
Xi Hua: "Yup. You both have been talking for more than forty five minutes. Now, get up."
Si Xia's voice came from the other end, "All the best. Give them hell." Yu Chen smiled and Xi Hua went over dramatic again, to which he cut the call.
While walking towards Zenghai and Kio, Xi Hua said, "I knew he would cheer you up."
Chen looked at her. She continued, "You know. Chen, don't stress yourself. Many things are much more important than winning this competition."
By now the four of them were united. Yu Chen looked at the three of them and said in a small voice, "Yup. I know that now."
