Chapter 34: Dinner
Xi Hua was looking really pretty. She was naturally beautiful, and had also dressed up for today. She was a little skinny, but carried herself beautifully. She had worn a grey, knee length dress and a jacket over it. Her mud coloured hair were silky and straight, which were left open and were halfway down her waist. Yu Chen looked her up and down, and then teased her, "Someone dressed up today. Are you looking to shag some really pretty boy in the restaurant?"
"Oh shut up." Xi Hua said, turning very red as Huo Zenghai came from behind. He was wearing his usual, t-shirt and jeans and looked really happy. He came and scolded Xi Hua, "Don't run off like this." Xi Hua rolled her eyes as Yu Chen saw another person coming up. "Oh no. Kio invited Xi Xi too!!!" she screamed internally. Then she looked at him properly, and started turning red, "He looks so good." Yu Chen noticed that he was wearing a shirt with ripped jeans. His light brown hair was the usual messy and his dark black eyes looking at her up and down and frowning. Yu Chen teared away her eyes and muttered, as he came and stood with them, "Hello." He also said a small hi before frowning, "Why are you both still in your school uniforms?" It was then that the other four noticed that Yu Chen and Mo Kio were still in their uniforms. Though Mo Kio had removed the tie, still the uniform was quite recognisable. Mo Kio hurriedly explained everything before taking them all inside.
Mo Kio did not get a private room as Yu Chen and the others insisted on sitting with others and enjoying everything. So they sat at a corner table near the window and enjoyed the view as Mo Kio ordered. He asked them if they would like crevettes and they all nodded, not even knowing what it was.
As they chatted, Mo Kio told everyone, "I am now also a member of little Yu." Xi Hua and Huo Zenghai were shocked while Si Xia looked puzzled. "What is that?" he asked Huo Zenghai explained to him how it was the name of the team by which they were entering in the 99-software open competition.
Si Xia nodded as the food came. Everything looked delicious so they all dug in immediately. But after half the meal was finished, Xi Hua's face turned pale. She ran to the washrooms and Yu Chen followed her, worried. When she reached there, she heard Xi Hua puking her guts out in one of the stalls. All Yu Chen could do was hold her hair back for her while rubbing jer back. Outside, they could hear Huo Zenghai, Mo Kio and Si Xia, really worried. When Xi Hua had puked more than she could have possibly eaten, she went to rinse her mouth. During that time, Yu Chen went out and told the boys to wait at the table as Xi Hua was fine now.
As they were sitting at the table, Huo Zenghai so worried that he was biting his nails, Yu Chen led out a very tired looking Xi Hua outside. She helped her sit and then sat in her own seat. It was after she had gained some energy back, that she looked up and said, "Were there shrimps in the food?"
