Chapter 25: Defending Yu Chen
"Well well well. If it isn't Chen and her geek minions." she taunted her.
Yu Chen at first wanted to ignore her comment, but then she saw the look on Hua's and Zenghai's faces. "Oh no no no. Nobody messes with my friends." she thought and turned to face Yuan Zuan.
"Please. Don't put me in the same category as yourself. Always having people with yourself just cause you don't have enough guts." Yu Chen rolled her eyes.
Yuan Zuan: "Same category. Huh. Have you even seen how ugly you look."
Yu Chen looked confused and said, "Well excuse me. I am not a mirror." All the students who were able to hear her words laughed out loud and Huo Zenghai muttered, "Burnnnn." and Yuan Zuan's face was so red that she looked like a tomato.
Just as she was about to say something, a voice said from behind, "Seems like Miss Yuan has not had her share of insult today and wants more." All of them looked in the direction from where the voice came and saw Mo Kio, with a plate of sandwiches and a cola in his hands.
"Well Miss Yuan, why don't you go back into the little hole wherever you crawled out from." As Yuan Zuan started to say something, he continued, "Ohhhh, are you going to complain to your precious father, go on." Mo Kio kept throwing insults and Yuan Zuan's face kept getting redder and redder.
Then everyone saw Si Xia come in the cafeteria and head towards Yu Chen's table. Well, everyone except the people at Chen's table, of course. He reached there and asked, "What's all this commotion?"
All at Yu Chen's table were startled. Mo Kio opened his mouth to say something but Yuan Zuan beat him to it. She pulled Si Xia by the hand and started rambling about how Yu Chen and Mo Kio were ganging up on her and bullying her. After fake crying to Si Xia, she turned to look at Yu Chen, with Xia standing behind her, smirking. She thought that Si Xia would defend her, but instead all he said was, "Get your hair out of my face. It smells so terrible that I feel like I will puke."
With this he went over to Mo Kio, shook his hand and asked him what was going on. Mo Kio were told him everything.
Hearing that Yuan Zuan was trying to bully Chen, he looked so angry as though he would rip open Zuan's head if he had the chance. The temperature around them dropped a few degrees and Si Xia's black eyes looked like dark thunder clouds. His mouth was pressed in a thin line, and Yu Chen knew that his anger might get out of control. So she reached out for his hand and said, "No. Don't." Si Xia looked at her and all his anger seemed to change in love. His eyes looked like the clouds had cleared and he nodded his head.
Then he turned to Zuan and said through gritted teeth, "Get out. Never let me see your face again."
Yuan Zuan stuttered, "Bu-but Xia."
But Si Xia looked like an upapproachable king who repeated, and looked as though he would pass judgement on anyone who dared to disobey, "GET OUT."
That was it. That was all Yuan Zuan could take. She ran out of the cafeteria like a scared dog with it's tail between its legs.
