Chapter 25: CHAPTER 25: CAN I SEE YOU TONIGHT?

I was in the Conference Room inside my company. I just came from one of our clients. I told my secretary to call on all my team for urgent meeting. Waiting there for a while for them to report.
It has been two weeks since the last time I encountered Shayla. It has been a very busy weeks for me with my projects and meetings with clients.
I do not have time even a call or text to her because I got new big projects opportunities to deal with personally. I totally nailed it and got it.
This is the urgent meeting I have to share it, one of the agenda today. My people were sure be happy with the good news I have.
Lucky for me, it is good for my company once it will start and finish it on the said date. Everyone started to come in and taking their seats. I saw my secretary closing the door I stood up.
"Since everyone's here I have some good news to share." I can see their faces were all excited that good news. I smiled. "We got the big projects coming up by next month. We enclosed it just now so we have to work harder as always. We have to do our best in every project we have with the quality we do. Still be the safe measure to be apply. Am I clear?" They were all saying Yes. We ended up the meeting with positivity.
Despite being busy, my mind still bothered within. Most of the time I get the chance to be alone. I cannot get Shay out of my head. She was always pop-up after that time we saw and shared our reunion.
Just like before she is always inside my head when I was miles away from home. At that time, I could easily bury it thru my studies and other things. But now things were different. She is just near me. I did not expect it but it was fate that we crossed each other once again.
She is something more that I cannot easily deny it even in my sleep. I am not a student or teenager anymore to not give it a try. She is just near me now.
I wanted to celebrate for getting the big project and some small projects too. Of course, I want to be with someone else not with my team. They have their own personal time to spend than us together.
Maybe once we completed the project, we make it a moment to us after. For now, it is her.
I picked my phone from my pocket jeans and dialed her number. It rings many times and I was about to turn it off but it suddenly answered.
"Hello" Oh! What a sweet voice she has?
I cleared my throat before I say. "Hi, miss me?" I grinned even she does not see me. My heart was too nervous when I heard her voice again.
"Hahaha... you wish!" I heard her sweet laughed. "Did you dial a wrong number?" she asked teasing me.
"Definitely not! It is really you, sweet pea." I told her. Well, she knew me for being a player.
"What's up, big boy? You seem lost in a while and remember my number." She laughed again.
"Sorry Sweet Pea, I just got busy lately that needs more attentions to it." I added. "Well, it is not wrong to keep in touch with you right?! Unless, you are not allowed to entertain guys like me. A boyfriend maybe?!" I said but my mind will freeze if she has. I do not know what will I do or say.
"What?!" Shay replied with shock. "Of course, not I do not have one. Even if I have, I can still talk to any guys. I am not a weakling person that a boyfriend could control me."
"Of course, you are not that kind, sweet pea. You are stronger than I thought and can stand up on your own." I smiled.
"That's right, big boy. So, why are you calling me?" I heard some noise in her background.
"Where are you now?" I asked curiously because the background was some kind of music that it is not her type.
"I was walking the hallway of my dorm and I am now going inside. Why?" She replied as I heard some tossing keys in the table.
"Ah, okay, so are you busy tonight? No, party going...?" I teasingly asked me.
I heard her laughing so loud and no more background sounds and I was relieved.
"You know me since younger I am not a party goer and always will." She chuckled. "That was one time only in college for a change but it was worst."
"Well, you can go if you are with me then but if not just stay at your dorm." I spoke.
"Yeah, right, big boy, I will think about it the party thing. Hahahah..." I always like the sounds of her laugh.
"Can I see you now? I mean, hang out with me like dinner for tonight or strolling if you are not busy and available for tonight." I said nervously.
I waited for her answer her breath I hear it a little. "Okay, why not, I am not busy tonight."
"Yes! I mean, okay, pick you up 30 minutes is that okay?"
"Okay, I will be ready by then."
I was smiling like crazy after the line was off. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and shower. Tonight, is going to be a fun night.
I arrived early as the time I have said. Men were just not the same as the ladies. I got a quick shower, changed clothes and a little splash of perfume then I am done. Nothing else to do after then grabbing my wallet and keys that's all I need.
I was waiting inside my car for her. I do not to disturb another creature if I waited outside. Yeah, I am conceited, who doesn't. I believe in a quote, 'LOVE YOURSELF'.
But decided to wait outside inside. I saw Shay climbing down the stairs, walking towards my car. She was smiling as soon as she was in front of me.
