Chapter 5: What the Shop has to Offer.
[Welcome to the shop! Here you will find the most comprehensive stock of supplies from both the world of Gaia and Earth itself for your own personal use.
These supplies may range from consumables such as potions and ammunition, all the way down to materia and weaponry. You may even purchase blueprints for technology not found in your current world.]

"Oh? I already have some gil do I? That comes in handy." I nod happily at the my current available funds. At least I will have some spending money for whatever I may need.
"How would I go about earning some gil?"
[You may earn gil by defeating your opponents. Depending on the ranks of your opponents, you will earn a different amount of gil. For example...
I - 500gil.
H - 1000gil.
G - 2000gil.
F - 4000gil.
Higher ranking opponents are worth twice as much as the rank below them. Additionally, if the opponent has a bounty on them you can recieve the bounty as both gil and belli.
Of course belli and gil cannot be exchanged and will be separate values. Belli cannot be used to but items from the digital shop.]
"That's good to know. Here is to hoping I don't drive the island's wildlife and lowlife populations to extinction."
[You will not need to worry about that. Your not required to kill your opponents to earn the money. Give then 72 hours to recover and challenge them again. Bounties can only be collected once.]
"Oh! That is convenient! Not like those other fanfictions where the MCs practically hunt all wildlife into extinction before the set sail. I can fight them over and over.again while preserving the ecosystem!"

I select the consumables option and browse over the pricing of the first 3 items.

High Potion - 100gil.
Elixir - 400gil.

I am amazed at how cheap these items are considering how miraculous a simple potion would be in most other worlds alone. I will need to experiment on a live subject at some point.
Next I click on the ammunition option to see how much bullets will cost.

Machine Gun - 20gil.

It appears that the ammo pricing is based on the spinoff of Final Fantasy 7, Dirge of Cerberus. Realistically speaking, it makes sense to sell ammo. Because in most Final Fantasy games the gunners can shoot forever and only ever run out of ammo in cutscenes.
But still, these pricings are really cheap!
Next I select the materia options and see what I am working with.

Materia is as expensive as I had expected and there are plenty of amazing materia out there. Some even have skills from other Final Fantasy titles available. Although I notice a certain category missing from the materia shop.
"How come there was nothing about summon materia in the shop?"
[The carrier already has those materia available in storage along with your predecessor's faithful equipment.]
"Oh, sweet!"
[Do not get too ahead of yourself carrier. The summons have to accept and befriend you before your allowed to summon them. Additionally you will need the require mana to pay the cost, or in Yojimbo's case both mana and gil costs.]
"Haah... Should have expected that. There is no free lunch in this world after all."
I exit the stores and select the storage option to find what I have available for use. Surprisingly I find materia for every summon in the whole damn Final Fantasy series stored within the storage.
I also notice Sephiroth's custom clothing from both the main Final Fantasy 7 game as well as his Kingdom Heart version. There is also his iconic odachi Masamune and a single Fire Materia.
"At least I was not left high and dry. With these I can at least start training in my magic. I got to buy a training sword and some basic training suits since I am too small for both my outfits and the Masamune."
Luckily for me, I am motivated!
