Chapter 3: The Life and Experiences of a Hero.
As I sleep on the floor of the room loaned to me by Makino. 27+ years of memories and experiences are transferred into my head as if they were my own.
I know for a fact that I am not Sephiroth reborn, but more of a physical and spiritual successor. Even the genetics were properly reproduced, minus the corruption. A pure and perfect replica.
In these memories Sephiroth was born of unknown parentage. With everyone claiming his mother was known only as Jenova.
But I know for a fact that his biological parents were Lucrecia Crescent and Professor Hojo and that Jenova cells were implanted during pregnancy.
While Sephiroth did not gain the ability to speak to the planet due to him not being of Cetra descent, he did possess potential to be the perfect soldier.
Sephiroth joined Soldier and was trained until he eventually became the best. Even befriending fellow Soldier 1st Classes Genesis Rhapsodos and Angeal Hewley.
He became known as a war hero during the Wutai War and even fought in the Genesis War against his former best friends.
His descent into madness began during the Nibelheim Incident where he discovered his role in Shinra's experiments and lost himself to madness.
After that his memories of attempting to destroy the world, use the planet as a ship to travel the cosmos, and even some fragmented memories of his actions in other worlds.
Which I found strange until I remembered Sephiroth had appeared in a number of crossovers over the years.
You know, Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia.
The memories are not the only thing I gained from this. There is also all of Sephiroth's practical experiences.
Swordsmanship and Magic being the most prominent. There was also the combat experience he gained during war and against rebels. His experiences against human, monsters, and even machines.
I feel that if I out out some effort, I can become as formidable as the legendary hero turned psychopath himself within a few years.
I am pleasantly surprised that I ended up as a spiritual successor of one of the most powerful warriors to have come from the Final Fantasy series.
I did not become a simple hero like Cloud Strife, Cecil Harvey, or Zidane Tribal. No I ended up with the body of Sephiroth in the world of One Piece.
What kind of concept is that?
At least I have not read a concept like that in a fanfic yet. Am I someone's fanfic with a cheat? (😏)

*Groans*
I open my eyes, my head throbbing after 27 years of a legendary hero's life and experiences were forcibly implanted into my head.
I am fortunate to have blacked out or I would have felt as if my head were going to burst from the overload of knowledge.
Wow!
Sephiroth was a highly intelligent and powerful individual. Although a little aloof and arrogant, but he had the skills to back it up.
Now his memories and experiences are mine. I am now him, but the soul and personality is mine alone. I don't fear falling down his path of insanity.
"This is amazing!" I say, "albeit a little terrifying."
I do not know why I am in the world with this body and experiences, but I feel as if it no longer matters.
Sure I will miss the family, friends, girlfriend, and aspirations I had left behind. But there is nothing I can do about it anymore. I have to accept my new reality.
I will put aside some time later to properly mourn all that I left behind. Give myself some proper closer and move on.
I am not XXXX XXXXXX anymore.
My name is now Shinra D. Sephiroth. The successor of both a hero and a villain.
I accept my new life and will not let anyone to dictate my future. I have 15 years until the main story begins to master Soldier 1st Class Sephiroth's abilities. It is something I am confident in doing.
This is my life now.
Original canon be damned, I will punish those who succumb to corruption and be a true hero to those who cannot defend themselves.
Shinra may have been a powerful electrical empire in Final Fantasy 7, but now it will be the ones who help the ones who suffer.
"Hahahahaha!" I laugh happily in excitement, "this is gonna be awesome!"
