Chapter 9: Sign Contract
"My name is Yoshii Akihisa." He said and shake her hand.
"Can I take a look at your manga?"
"Sure, this is manuscript."
"Naruto? Konoha? Sinobi(Ninja)?"
Hiiragi is not really interested because she think it is for children anyway. She flips through the manuscript without care like she usually did. However, when she finish read through a whole chapter, she was stunned.
She takes a breath in deeply and hurriely flips backward to read it again from the beginning. This time she looks through seriously.
Yoshiiia is not in hurry. He sits on the sofa and watchs her reaction. It's actually not unexpected. This is Naruto after all.
Ten minutes later
Hiiragi looks dumbfounded on her face. She becomes excited and is somewhat in disbelief.
She looks serious at the young man sit in front of her. She can't believe there was a someone who can write this fantastic manga. The potential of this manga is very high. It can even change the world. This is a new idea, a new plot story and it even changes the way everyone think about manga.
This story is very interesting. It is not only for children, even aldult are also interested regarding gender. This new concept will be apply to all people.
She take a breath to calm herself. She bows her head at him.
"Please publish your manga to our company." She bows while await for his answer.
"Well, I can publish my manga here but we need to talk about contract first." Yoshii reply.
"Don't worry, we'll give you a satisfied contract. Please wait me a minute." She said that and goes outsite make a call to her manager.
After a while
"Sorry for making you wait. We decide to give you 20% royalty and we can also increase it in the future. Do you have any problem sensei?" She looks at him and try to read his face.
After describe every detail of manga to her manager, he told her to make him sign a contract no matter what he ask for. This is for survival of the company. Listen to this she can't help broke out a sweat. The manager also promises her that if everything going well, he'll promote her and double her salary.
("Yes! It's for the company. I'll try my best. It's not like I want promotion or double salary. Hehe...") She thinks excited inher mind.
Yoshii don't expect that the company would give him 20% royalty. It's quite a lot for a newcomer.
"No problem. But I have a few conditions." He put on his serious face.
"Yes, please talk sensei." She said nervously.
"First, the company cannot disclose my real identity to anyone without my permission.
Second, if somehow my manga become popular, I want all money releate to manga copyright including making merchandice or anime. That's all. If there's no problem, we can make the contract right now." He said calmly but his face show that he will leave if she can't accept any of his conditions.
"N-No problem at all sensei." She said that but there're a lot sweat on her forehead.
"For now, we'll pay you 30 000 yen for each page. We will send money directly to your bank account."
Yoshii nod and give her his bank number.
After both of them are satisfied, Yoshii sign a contract to publish his "Naruto" to the company.
Both Yoshii and Hiiragi is handshaking.
