Chapter 49: Chapter 45: Legendary Sword
Several minutes ago
Luna
While Philip and the gang were flying towards the giant Runestone in Europe, the moon was seemingly rising from the west, rather from the east. During these 10 years, the moon was rotating and revolving around Earth in speeds that are impossible for communications to engage with the people on the moon, much less for spaceships to land on the moon.
The moon was drifting slowly towards east towards Europe. There were two individuals that were controlling the moon, and about this time, they are talking to each other.
"Is it true?!"
"Yes! I felt it twice earlier!"
The two individuals were Mystery and Mysterious.
Mysterious flew towards the light side of the moon after he stopped the fast revolution speed of the moon with his intense blue flames. Mysterious then spoke to Mystery at what he felt, to which Mystery became surprised.
"But I'm pretty sure he died 10 years ago!"
"I know, that's why we'll see and check it for ourselves."
After the span of 10 years, the appearance of the Myst couples changed drastically. This was different because their appearance didn't changed that much ever since they were born on the moon. Their previous appearance changed from almost thousands of years ago, and millions of years ago before that. But this time, their appearance changed within 11 years only. The interval betwee their appearance change was simply astronomical. The Myst couples didn't know the reason, but one thing's for sure, it's because of the power they received from the Omega.
Mystery's appearance became more ethereal and her face, which was faceless before, produced facial characteristics. Eyes, nose, mouth, and white eyelashes and eyebrows. One could say that she may be the most beautiful woman in the world, if she ever came down from the moon to Earth. Her almost see through, ghostly appearance became more solid and she could be seen as glowing white that is eye catching. Her long white hair elegantly dances in the air, seemingly as if it was defying gravity. She had white glowing clothes, like a yukata or kimono, that resembles a shrine maiden.
Mysterious on the other hand, became even darker, blacker than black. The once faceless head had two distinct facial features. First one was his usual hidden mouth that when opened, revealed a horrifying sight of thousands of teeth. But now, even if he is closing his mouth, two red fangs can be seen on the lower half of his face. The outline of his mouth couldn't be seen because of his blackness, but the ominous looking red triangles can give someone the feeling that they are looking at a devil. The second one is his eyes, it's pure red. The red eyes are not round or the typical realistic eyes, but those anime eyes that gives the feeling that he is serious and frowning all the time. He is still hairless, showing the outline of his head as extremely round, and his clothes couldn't be seen due to it also being blacker than black.
The people that were living on the moon had died approximately 6 years ago due to lack of food, water, and the intense momentum that their bodies feel during the fast rotation and revolution of the moon. The people here understood the actions of the superhuman beings of the moon as practically the military down on Earth tried to hunt them. It's just survival of the fittest. The Myst couples couldn't do anything but apologize to the humans and gave them proper burial. The humans forgave them easily and said that it was an honor for these superhuman beings to take care of their dead bodies.
As the moon was slowly drifting in the sky, Mystery was clenching her fist as she is expecting for that person to be alive after all these years.
A few minutes of drifting later, the Myst couples were startled as a purple spaceship suddenly appeared out of know where in front of them.
Mysterious immediately stopped drifting the moon and jumped in front of Mystery and extended out his right arm, as if to protect Mystery. He then stared at the purple spaceship with his menacing pure red anime eyes.
Mystery then prepared white orbs in her hands that seemed to bend space. It was her ability, 「 Circularity 」.
Moments later, the hatch of the small spaceship the size of a Lamborghini, opened. White smoke was released from the hatch and a silhoutte of a man emerged from the smoke.
The man then jumped down and greeted the Myst couples.
"Hello there, are you guys the guardians of the Satellite 1 of Planet 3 of the Sol Sytem in Quadrant 3 of the Milky Way Galaxy? In other words, Luna of Earth?"
The Myst couples stared blankly at the man standing in front of them before speaking.
The man had a mask on his face, a singular lens in the middle of his face and the mask seemed to split his face into two vertically. The upper part of the mask revealed his maroon hair that are standing up from the front of his head down to the back of his head, like a mohawk. His body is extremely chiselled and he is wearing a futuristic or advanced suit with silver hexagonal patterns on his skin and purple and gold armor on his chest, stomach, thighs, legs, feet, shoulders, and forearms. What's odd about him is the extremely patterned hands of his that had a faint glow around the edges of his palm and fingers.
"Yes we are, I'm Mysterious."
"And I'm Mystery."
The man nodded his head and introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Viz Ghan, the chosen peacemaker of the galaxy of Milky Way. I came here because I received a distress call from an unknown source that your planet is in danger." The man named Viz Ghan, said without pausing and seeming oblivious to his surroundings.
"Really now? Then you were 10 years too late." Mysterious told Viz Ghan the reality.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean what I mean, look around you. Look at the Earth, do you think Earth supposed to look that way?"
Viz Ghan turned his head towards Earth, only to see Earth having 5 giant pointed rocks coming out of it from different locations. The Earth looked like a mutated porcupine or a pin cushion, but the pins are extremely fat.
"I see... It seems I was too late..." The Myst couples were quiet as Viz Ghan contemplated for ab bit.
"For that, I was ordered that I will be protecting Earth until it was destroyed and until my death. Let's help each other in protecting the Earth, Mysterious and Mystery." Viz Ghan bowed down at the Myst couples as if he just met his co-workers.
"We don't need your help, we already got this. Also, there is someone already protecting the Earth that is several more times more powerful than you."
"It seems so, I am detecting faint disruptions in the fabric of space and time itself, as well as energy surges." Viz Ghan paused for a moment before continuing,
"Are you going towards that general directon?"
Viz Ghan pointed towards Europe to which the Myst couples nodded. The two already relaxed themselves because the man in front of them was one of the Peacekeepers of the universe. They met one of their kinds after the events of the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs, after the construction of the Pyramids of Giza, during the construction of the Tower of Babel, and the most massive one, the tear in the dimension in Bermuda Triangle that caused the Atlantis to sink and caused the inhabitants of Mars to become extinct.
"Then, allow me to accompany you guys and let me meet the person you are saying several more times more powerful than me."
The two only nodded and continued to drift the moon towards Europe.

Eastern Europe
The glowing Smith landes in the middle of a plains in Eastern Europe, several kilometers away from the giant Runestone. He just stood there staring at something.
Moments later, Charles, Erica, and John landed behind Smith.
"What's up Smith? Why are you glowing?" Charles asked.
"I don't know, but I feel a powerful presence around here."
Then, Philip arrived and landed next to them.
"Did you find it?" Philip asked Smith causing Smith to be surprised as Philip knew what he was looking for.
"I don't know, but I could feel it here."
Later on, the ground rumbled as if it sensed Smith and the ground in front of the cracked and opened as it formed a mountain and began to rise. From the tip of the mountain, a glimmering shiny stone could be seen that is being doused by a golden light from the clouds above while white doves encircled the object above the shiny stone before landing on the side of the mountain.
Smith glowed more intensely while Philip felt his heart pumping wild.
"I-is that..." Erica spoke while stuttering.
"No way..." John said as he stared at the object above the shiny stone.
"I can't believe that it actually exists!" Charles said his own line.
Smith began to walked up the mountain. Philip stopped himself from also walking upwards, but a certain force was forcing him to do so.
'What is this, Emily?'
But Emily didn't reply when he asked her.
As Smith walked up the mountain pass the white doves, he then arrived at the tip of the mountain.
What's in front of him is a golden sword that is stabbed on a flat shiny stone. The guard of the sword had two golden dragons intertwined into each other as their jaws are opened as it extended outwards. The grip is adorned with gems that can't be identified as well as leather that seems didn't existed in the world. A red gem was attached to the pommel that shone under the golden light above the clouds. The blade was gold in color with inscriptions on its surface that can't be read by Smith.
"Excalibur." Smith muttered as he extended his hand towarda the hilt.
Smith glowed brighter and as soon as he touched the sword, the sword also shone brighter until both of them were engulfed by light.
From the foot of the small mountain, Erica and the others seem to notice something. The sword was showing a reaction from the presence of Smith, but the white doves on the side of the mountain and the golden light on the clouds are not giving any reaction.
Smith then pulled the sword up.
*TING*
The sword didn't budge. Smith still tried to pull it out again, but to no avail. Then, the light from the sword dimmed down as well as the gow on Smith. He then let go of the sword and accepted the results.
He then climb down the mountain with a dejected face.
"This was the second time I was rejected by a sword stabbed on a weird stone." He said with a blank expression and dead fish eyes.
For Smith, this was a big deal because of his title of Weapon Saint. That title meant that he has control for all kinds of weapon, and so far, he was rejected, unacknowledged by two sword.
Philip heard this and turned his head towards Smith and asked, "What did you say again?!"
"Hey! Don't rub it in!"
"No, I meant, this was your second time?"
"Well yeah! The first one was in the facility that Ysabelle and the others are contained. Let me tell you, that sword is odd and it was stabbed in a golden rock. There was also an amulet that was floating while it's wrapped on the grip of the sword."
"!!!"
Philip was alarmed by the sudden revelation. That was Life's Sword! Energy surged around him from excitement.
"But now, even the Excalibur rejected me. But I wonder why it would even show up just to reject me. I tell you! I'm hurt right now!" As soon as Smith finished his sentence, Philip walked pass in front of him.
"Uhh, Philip?"
Erica and the other face palmed themselves as soon as they saw Philip approaching the mountain while muttering to themselves, "Of course!"
Philip then climbed up the mountain and as he climbed up, the white doves that was sitting on the side of the mountain began to fly as Philip passed them. They first circled Philip before they disappeared into the clouds.
Smith and the others watched Philip as he reached the peak, next to the sword. They watched in awe as the mountain began to shine at the clouds also began to shine. Golden particles began to drift around the area as light particles also shone the area.
Before Philip could extend his hand towards the sword, there was a sound.
*SHING*
The sword suddenly shone, brighter than the time it shone when Smith pulled it. Smith then coughed out blood as his pride was severely injured.
'He wasn't even holding it!'
Then, Excalibur glowed and formed a shell of light around it as it pulled itself, yes, pulled itself up without Philip's help. The sword then hovered in front of Philip and shot a golden beam of light towards the sky causing and explosion of golden light. Philip then tried to reached for the sword, but then it flew away going north. Philip then immediately flew and followed the flying Excalibur.
"Could it be?!!"
The others then snapped out from their daze and immediately followed Philip.

Northeastern Europe
After a few minutes of flight, they arrived at a bottom of a cliff. At the wall of the cliff, a hole was present that lead to a cave. The Excalibur hovered in front of the cave while glowing.
Philip and the others arrived in front of the cave and saw the floating Excalibur. Philip then immediately entered the cave without batting an eye to Excalibur. Excalibur however didn't mind this and just hovered quietly in front of the cave entrance.
After a few minutes of walking inside the narrow cave, Philip arrived in a large open space that had long stalagmites and stalactites. In the middle of the area is a small pond that had small rivers or creaks branching outwards.
In the middle of the pond is a rusty sword stabbed in the pond. Philip continued to walk towards the sword while expecting what he was expecting. As soon as he stepped on the pond, the floating Excalibur in the cave entrance suddenly entered and flew inside the cave faster thn anyone could see.
Excalibur than floated around the open space of the cave, around the pond, while glowing. Philip looked towards the odd behavior of Excalibur. He then continued walking towards the rusty sword. A few moments later, he stopped in front of the rusty sword.
There was no reaction. Was Philip's expectation wrong?
But then, Excalibur released a surge of energy that even Philip felt it. The cave also shook because of it.
Then, the rusty sword showed signs. A blue glow, like a blue flame, started dancing around the rusty sword. After a while, the rust within the rusty sword began to chip away, revealing the blue colored blade that extended outwards to the length of its dark blue guard. The grip was covered with scales that seemed comfortable to touch, and a pointed blue crystal on the pommel. The sword was awoken from its deep slumber.
*SHING*
The sword then glowed blue as it made a sound similar to what Excalibur made earlier. Then, the sword pulled itself up and hovered in front of Philip. Excalibur the also came close and hovered beside the blue sword.
「 These are some interesting swords. 」
"Of course, it's the Excalibur, a legendary sword of the Earth myths. I also couldn't believe it really existed. I don't know what this blue sword is, however." Philip's blood of sword began pumping just by the sight of these swords. Truth be told, the blue sword was also exerting almost the same amount of pressure as Excalibur, telling him that this blue sword is also a legendary sword. That was also supported by the fact that Excalibur flew all the way from south to here just to wake this blue sword up. Then, as if the system wanted to answer him, his expectations were confirmed.

Poor Smith, he was not chosen by Excalibur... Turns out that Excalibur showed itself in the presence of Philip. Now he also found Durandal with the help of Excalibur.
