Chapter 11: chapter 10

After entering the city, Paul and Jack searched for an inn or a place where they can sleep tonight.

After searching for a while and finding nothing, Paul decided to ask the few people who were still in the streets for directions and discovered that there was a very famous inn in this city since all the people who gave them directions directed them to the On the way to that place, Paul did not think much about it and went with Jack to the place where everyone indicated.

...

After walking for a while Paul and Jack arrived at their destination.

Right in front of them was the inn they so wanted to reach, the inn was three stories high, its walls were painted a light blue color and above the door hung a sign with the name of the inn. "Moon feathers."

After observing the inn for a short time, Paul and Jack decided to enter it. Upon entering, they also observed her inside, just in front of the entrance was the reception where an older woman was currently working, on the left, you could see an entrance to what appeared to be the dining room and on the right were the stairs to climb next floor.

After seeing her, Paul approached the older woman and began to speak. "Hello, good afternoon," Paul greeted first.

The older woman smiled at Paul and also greeted - good afternoon child, I suppose you need a room - said the woman as she watched Paul.

Paul currently had some cuts on his body, his clothes were a little damaged and he also carried a backpack on his back, adding to that, his face also seemed exhausted, the same happened with the little wolf at his side. Seeing that, the woman concluded that Paul was traveling and had a difficult day.

Paul was also detailing the woman, she was not someone who stood out too much, her face was normal, she had brown eyes, her hair just like her eyes was brown but this one had some strands of White color demonstrating the age of the woman.

After the two finished seeing each other, Paul replied - yes ma'am, I want to rent a room-

The woman nodded and replied - no problem, it will be 5 copper coins per day, but if you pay 1 silver coin, 3 meals a day will be added and you can use the bathroom of the inn - The woman finished explaining.

Paul thought about it a bit and decided to pay for everything. The money he stole from those people would last at least for that, he also had some gold coins that his mother gave him before he left home, but he still had to find a way to earn money.

-I will pay 10 days with everything included please- Paul said as he handed the woman a gold coin.

-Very well- the woman nodded as she received the money. -Now you just need to show me your license and everything will be finished- explained the woman.

Paul nodded and passed the license to the woman, she received it and inserted it into a small mosque that was near her, shortly after the machine shone green so the woman took out the license and returned it to Paul.

Paul was curious about that but did not ask, he supposed it was something to verify if the license was real or something, and he didn't want to be given a long explanation about all that, now all he wanted was to sleep.

After returning the license, the woman handed Paul some keys and said - this is the key to your room, it is on the third floor and it is the one with the number 20 at the door - the woman explained before continuing - make sure that the wolf next to you does not cause any damage or you will have to pay, also if you are hungry it falls within an hour-

After hearing that Paul nodded and headed along with Jack to the stairs in search of his room and get his much-desired rest.

...

Finding his room was easy, he just had to go up to the third floor and look for door 20.

Paul entered his room and watched her. The room was simple, it had a bed for one person, a window on one of the walls, a small table next to the bed and a magic lamp hanging on each of the walls.

Satisfied with that, Paul left his things on the table and jumped on the bed, almost immediately after Jack did the same and jumped on Paul.

- * sigh * - Paul let out a sigh of satisfaction before looking at Jack who was lying on him and said - sleep a little Jack, I will too, tomorrow we will train in the morning and seek information about the snowy forest - Paul told Jack.

-woof- Jack barked with approval and closed his eyes to sleep.

While watching Jack sleep, Paul began to think about what happened and discovered today.

Leaving aside the battle and the mysterious person, Paul discovered that he was not human. This left Paul confused because he thought that if his parents were not human they would tell him.

Also, the cause of the race difference could be different from that of their parents, for example, that the cause of everything is the blessing of the wolf that when he gave power also changed his race.

Whatever the cause, Paul knows that he would have to be careful in the future when he asks for licenses, it is never known what problems it could cause him to belong to an unknown race.

There is also the fact that his magic class is also different, but in this case, Paul was 100% sure that it was due to the wolf's blessing.

-"Tomorrow morning, when I train, I will try some new things that occurred to me during the battle."- That's what Paul thought.

Last but a little less surprising was that Jack was not a wolf, of course, it also surprised but not as much as the other news, mainly because very little is known about Jack.

One day he simply appeared in the house and never left. In the end, Paul's family decided to adopt and create a small house in the yard.

Then there is the fact that Jack seems to be much smarter than most animals that Paul has seen in his life.

While Paul was thinking about Jack's oddities and all the time they had spent together, his mind went back to the battle he had today and found something strange.

The people who attacked him today did so with the excuse that Jack or the wolves, in general, were rare animals in the cities, so by capturing Jack and selling him, they would become incredibly rich.

Paul at first did not think too much about it and believed what they said, but now that he arrived in the city he begins to believe the opposite.

After all, nobody has mentioned anything about it until now. The worker at the entrance of the city and the lady at the inn only told him to be careful that Jack did not harm anything and the people he asked for guidance when he entered the city the most they said was about Jack's cuteness.

So that leaves him with two options, the first is that those people attacked him for some other reason as mysterious as the man who saved him or maybe he is just so tired that he began to think things too much.

Paul sincerely hopes that it will be the second and he has thought about things too much because he doesn't want to have more mysteries and worries in his head than he already has.

- * sigh * - Paul just sighed tired and closed his eyes to sleep leaving worries behind, after all, if those people wanted to kill him with another goal other than Jack then most likely he will see them again or send them to other people.

With that in mind, Paul fell asleep.

...…

-woof woof- the next day Jack barked repeatedly while shaking a sleeping Paul with his paws.

-mmm enough Jack, I woke up- said Paul half asleep while stretching.

-woof- Jack barked again as he tried to get Paul out of bed.

-Yes yes, we will do the training- Paul said lazily as he approached the window to open it and allow sunlight to enter.

When he was right in front of the window he opened it suddenly and closed his eyes waiting for sunlight to hit him in the eyes.

But after waiting for a while the light never came then he opened his eyes and what he saw made him angry a little.

- ... Jack ... - Paul said slowly as he turned around. -Why can't I see the sun?- Paul asked as he cast an angry look at Jack.

-woof- Jack replied proudly.

-I see, so you raised me even before the sun came up so I could have as much training time as possible- Paul repeated slowly.

-woof- Jack answered affirmatively.

After seeing him nod, Paul simply ignored him and headed back to bed. But before he arrived, he saw something grab his legs and stop him.

When he looked down, he saw Jack biting him gently on the leg to stop him. -Jack, what are you doing?- Paul asked as he watched Jack.

-woof- Jack replied.

-Yes, I know you're stopping me- Paul said even without taking his eyes off Jack -I will rephrase my question, why? - Paul asked again.

-woof- barked Jack indignantly.

When he heard it, Paul also felt indignant and said - we cannot train at this time, we are in the middle of the city, we will wake up everyone - Paul said.

After hearing it, Jack thought about it a bit and came to the conclusion that it was logical, he was about to agree with Paul, but Paul spoke again.

-Also, you know that I have to have a long dream of beauty- Paul added with utmost seriousness.

-… ..- after hearing it Jack was speechless and could only look at him incredulously.

Seeing how Jack looked at him, Paul added, -Why do you look at me like that? You should know that keeping my skin so healthy requires effort,- Paul said proudly before adding. -Also, I think you should try too, maybe your fur improves-.

Hearing what Paul said, Jack got angry and responded.

-Woof!- Answered Jack angrily, unable to believe what Paul said.

After all, he knows that his fur is fabulous.

...…

After a while, Paul and Jack could now be seen standing in the training camp at the inn. After the little discussion they had in the bedroom, Paul and Jack reached an agreement and Paul was able to sleep a little more.

When the time was up and Paul got up, he went and asked the receptionist, which is called Hilda, some things like for example if there was a place where they could train, she told him that the training camp was where they are right now.

While thinking about that, Paul looked at Jack and said -Jack, before we start our training battle I want to try some things-

Jack had no problems with that, so he nodded and walked away from a little.

Seeing that Jack agreed to wait a bit, Paul decided to start testing the idea he had.

When he was having the battle yesterday he realized how dangerous and useful the spells could be in a battle, therefore today he will try to control the magic in the air and verify if he can make spells. Of course, that would normally be impossible for body wizards but fortunately for him, he was not a body wizard.

That idea was born yesterday after discovering the anomalies in his class and his race. Perhaps thanks to the wolf's blessing he can also handle the magic of the air.

he would never find out if he didn't try, and that's why he's doing it now.

Leaving his mind blank, Paul began to meditate trying to feel anything in the air. After an hour of feeling absolutely nothing, Paul began to despair and was about to give up but something happened suddenly.

He felt something enter into him and run all over his body making him feel a refreshing sensation. When it was all over he opened his eyes and was surprised at what he saw.

His right hand was frozen now.
