Chapter 26: Life 26: 'It's Gotta Be You-!...'
With Aoi on- the two began to move around the city as they explored the sights with small talk in between.
And as the two parked down near the bustling shops about-
Aoi seemed to be in a world of her own as she seemed to radiate warmth as she always chuckled at the bad jokes that Furuichi tried making.
So much so that she had bumped into his hard chest as this only created a warm feeling as Aoi's eyes became sharper in this passing moment.
"Calm down - Aoi I'm not going anywhere, I'm here for you always..."
Hearing that Aoi got a little flustered and the reason Furuichi knew that was because she had this particular trait - of her ears turning slightly red whenever she felt shy or flustered.
With her then looking down a little due to the embarrassment- he knew it all.
"Promise- Fuu-kun?"
With her fidgeting hands in view as her head slumped down she spoke to Furuichi as she stood close to his chest-
"Aoi- what was that?"
It seemed that due to the bustling traffic and shops all over the place Furuichi hadn't heard what Aoi said hence his reply.
"No- it's nothing- Hey Fuu-kun let's go to that Gyouza Place!"
As if quickly brushing off that sentence Aoi grabbed Furuichi's hand as she smiled whilst pulling him away.
Causing the nearby pedestrians to gawk in the presence of these two-
They were a power couple for sure thought the people as they viewed the two-
They had stunning features and both were charismatic and vibrant.
Spelling out - 'made in heaven' as this caused some other couples to grow jealous of the connection and intimacy that Furuichi and Aoi displayed.
"Aoi- be careful that area's in construction and has a pothole- be wary of your ankle..."
Saying that Furuichi grabbed her wrist as he twirled her to his opposite side.
"Stay on the pedestrian side - I'll be on the roadside."
Saying that with his confidence and his seriousness caused Aoi to smile as she remembered how the two met.
"Remember- when you tried to save me- but got tied up with me?
How you got lost trying to find the bathroom when we went shopping at the Mall?"
Hearing that Furuichi wanted to cringe hearing that- of course, he remembered but he wanted to forget that time-
"You're never gonna let that down- are you?!"
Seeing this she placed a finger on my forehead as she flicked it back-
"Hee-hee, never Fuu-kun!"
'Even today I remember his valiant face as he tried saving me a stranger for no reason-
Maybe it was love at first sight yet still - in all honesty - I'm trying to be honest- I'm still in love with you...'
Thought Aoi as she looked at the embarrassed face of Furuichi who had gone a little red as he scratched his head-
A key action she picked up that he did when he was feeling shy or embarrassed.
"Fuu-kun, remember what you said to me that day when we were tied up-
You even withstood that guy who was waving a dagger in your face remember what you said!"
"Hey Tachibana-san- stop it -!"
- Flashback No Jutsu:-
"I didn't think so much of being beaten up and thrown around like a rag doll at that time, I just followed them to save you out of the kindness of my bloody heart," Furuichi said in disapproval.
Listening to this, Aoi became moved and said.
"We don't know even know each other, why would you save me?"
Furuichi looked at Aoi and said:
"Don't you remember yesterday? I saw you yesterday."
Aoi's eyes turned wise when she heard this and then said, "where?"
Furuichi at this point had no choice but to shake his head.
It seemed that Aoi was a person who didn't remember small things.
"I knocked you down yesterday by accident, don't you remember?."
Aoi stared at Furuichi's face for a while, her expression changed, and then she said.
"Oh - right, I remembered it just now, it's as if it's fate that brought us together."
Furuichi chuckles when he heard this, and said
"- Right, is your foot still hurting from yesterday?"
- Flashback No Jutsu End:-
"You were so brave and with the most confidence I'd ever heard from you-
You were like 'is your foot still hurting' that cracked me up so much to think that you still remembered that and out of that you decided to risk your life for a stranger- me in question.
That's what I lo-like about you Furuichi..."
Soon the two had arrived at the Gyouza place as they ordered a few for them and awaited the order and once the order was done-
For some reason every time Furuichi took a bite Aoi simply stared at him as she watched him eat with relish.
This simple feeling as she viewed his every expression and embarrassment made her feel something like no other- 'It has to be you- someone like you- I could never find someone like you- It has to be you...'
She thought as this simple action made her feel special that she was the only one who would see this face that she was the only one who knew him this way.
And after this lunch was over, as usual, the two exited the store as with Aoi on the pedestrian road and him on the roadside the two walked back to Furuichi's Motorbike.
With him constantly looking around which path to go and where there no potholes and such-
He wouldn't risk Aoi- hurting her ankle again he would hate himself for it truly.
Finally, they reached the Motorbike as Furuichi jumped on it with Aoi, following suit as she grabbed his waist in front -
A little embarrassed that they had progressed this much- she never knew that this would have ever happened to her.
But as he began to drive with so much elegance and fluidity this ride felt natural for some reason -
Never in her wildest dreams did she think that he was so good at driving a Motorbike.
But as he began to speed up she quickly placed her head on his back as she tightened her grip against his bike in hopes of not falling off.
"Aoi- hold tight- I'm going to be speeding up-!"
Hearing that she tried to reply instead her words were obscured by the speed of his bike-
And so she simply shut her eyes as she focused on his scent as she hugged his back in efforts to stay on and after a while.
This position felt quite comfortable as the two passed breeze after breeze.
With Aoi's long hair flowing back as she hugged onto Furuichi.
