Chapter 40: His Best Life

Will immediately got out of bed before hesitating. "Hazel? Can you come here for a second?"

She sat up before doing what he asked and he crushed her to his chest. He didn't know what to say. He loved this woman more than anything in the world and she finally, finally loved him back the same way. Words weren't enough.

After holding her for a while he couldn't help it anymore. He kissed her hungrily until she had to pat his face to get him to stop, rather breathless.

"Will."

"Right, sorry."

He knew she didn't plan on sharing a bed with anyone until she got married. She mentioned that once offhandedly when she was a teenager. He had been waiting for her to fall in love with him so he could propose since marrying her had been his goal for most of his life anyway.
