Will didn't waste any time moving once an apartment was available. He bought everything he would need on his own and hired movers to handle it rather than asking for help.
During the summer he still came over for dinner nearly every night (probably half because he didn't want to cook and half to see Hazel) and went on their family trip to Hawaii with them. Alison was glad that he still wanted to be a part of their family somewhat even though he had grown up and moved out.
She didn't worry about him being able to take care of himself. He was one of the most capable people she had ever met. What she worried about was how he was going to adjust emotionally to being on his own again.
With any luck, it wouldn't be an issue. If he got lonely, he could always come home to visit.
