Chapter 3: Chance of Status
Tan Lin was stunned. He didn't think there would be no damage at all!
"What kind of monster are you?" Sinfu said, as he said this Tan Lin punched him in the head and knocked him out. Directly after this he was being yelled at. It looked like a kid around his age.
'Why is he bossing me around who does he think he is?' Tan Lin thought to himself
"Hey you, what's your name?" The unknown kid screamed at Tan Lin
"My name is Tan Lin, what do you want?" Tan Lin responded confused, he noticed that they actually look to be about the same age.
"Be careful on how you speak to me brat, I need you to go on a mission for me" The kid coldly responded. Tan Lin was starting to get annoyed
"Fine, what do you want? What's the reward as well.. " Tan Lin responded
'As long as I get what I need, he can be as rude as he wants..' Tan Lin thought to himself.
"I need you to find my grandfather, he is the Sect Leader as well." The kid said arrogantly
" The reward would be the promotion to Elder, do you accept?"
'His grandpa is the sect leader! If I'm an elder I'll be able to change my entire life around!'
"I see.. I'll help you for now." Tan Lin said looking into the other kids eyes.
"I want you to search the Dark Forest area while I search the Broken Mountains, if you find him you are to bring him to the sect" The kid said as he grabbed Tan Lin and brought him to the gates of the Sect
'Get too physical, you'll die. I can tell you have 0 cultivation, cripple!'
"Understood.. Just point to the general direction I don't really know where anything is." When Tan Lin said this the other kid just sighed and face palmed. This made Tan Lin extremely angry, how could this be his fault?
"My fault, forgot you were here as a child. Its fine though, now go!" The kid said as Tan Lin left towards the Dark Forest.
'Now as long as I find this kid's grandfather, its good living right after. If I don't find him then I'm free to escape as well.. ' Tan Lin thought to himself as he was running to the direction pointed
'I wonder how far it is and what type of monsters there are.. That cripple said he was searching as well. That's hilarious he'll probably die!' Tan Lin laughed as he ran and ran.
