Chapter 3: Overjoyed
"Max! You can't get me!"
"Hahaha just you wait Meagan!"
We are free roaming. As children, but I can only stand there and watch, I'm not in the moment as always. I'm watching something that could've been with Meagan, but I have never noticed her when i was young, but why are we playing tag?
"Haha you can't get me Ma- ahhhhh!!!!!" I see Meagan trip and she falls hard on a branch, I try to move but my body wouldn't let me, only to see myself, younger self, go help her.
"Meagan are you ok? What's wrong with your arm? Uncle Brandon! Uncle Bran"- and I all I saw was a blank stare of myself looking at her arm, only to have uncle Brandon be nearby to pick her up, as he picked her up I noticed a stick was engraved in her arm, only bleeding, she wasn't crying too much but that much would make me cry, she is a tough girl, but why a dream like this? Only to stand here,
"Max! Max! Wake up!" As if Meagan was looking at myself right here and now letting me know how to do something. But this dream is weird. A change from the nightmare. Why? But I look on the ground to see myself fainted, too much blood from all that, I have grown to sustain myself from that much blood, but she kept calling,
"Max! Max! Don't let him!"

"Max! Max!" I wake up to see Red over me, asking me questions,
"Hey why did you stand up and just fall on the ground? You just fainted. This has never happened Max, was it a bad memory? There is blood all over you!-"
"Hold the phone, did you say I stood up and I just fainted?!"
Red looked at me astonished for what I had repeated, trying to get up to hold my nose while it dripped with blood,
"Uh yes? Why? Did you stand up too quick?-"
"No no, this happened in my dream, like I was playing tag with Meagan and I just fainted, did I say anything?"
Red looked at me confused, the first time he has seen me panic,
"Uh yeah you said Brandon for some reason-"
"Red, for once I didn't go through my nightmare. It changed! But why now? Ever since Meagan showed up she changed my dream. She changed me, but in my dream she told me 'don't let him' I just don't understand it. I feel dizzy-" I tried to stand up and sit on the bed but it wasn't worth it,
"Woah woah slow down Max, here I got you-" Red continues to pick me up and Magallena walks in,
"Hey Red want some lunch?- hey what happened Max are you ok? Your bleeding, oh god!?" She looked away quickly in disgust,
As she did that I looked down on my shirt, this city only has white shorts and jumpsuits so it would show if something happened, but did I fall too hard and cause this with my nose? There was blood in the dream but what the fuck?,
"Yeah Max looks like you fell and had a nose bleed, yeah Magallena He's been asleep for a while and I came back to check on him and he was on the ground yelling Brandon, it's something different this time, should we get Meagan?"
I sat on the bed with tissues in my nose wondering what the hell happened, but it's best to ask Meagan, maybe she had the same dream and tell me about it,
"Yeah Red. You and Magallena go get her, I'll wait here,"
"Ok Max hang tight I'll get more tissues too, let's go."
They took off in a hurry for me, they feel more worried for me after what has been said. I was thinking about planning to leave this. But I need to get to the bottom of this, could this tell me something?

"Yes sir, he was unconscious according to the readings, he just fell… from what it sounded like it is that he had a different dream…. I will keep an eye on him Orlando sir, yes the others took off… thank you. *beep* Well kid if you plan to leave I'll be a step ahead of you...

"Owwwww, why did the day start like this? I went to bed around 12, and woke up at 12, shit something's up, even my sleep was off,"
As I stood up to take a step, the dizziness was in me, I couldn't hold myself up any longer, and I fell again in the small puddle of blood, with my eyes settling I see a figure come in standing over me with their hands up..
/ 40 minutes later
^beep^
"Is he still passed out?"
"Yes in accordance of the readings he lost a lot blood and passed out, I took him ask quickly before the others came back,"
I heard that with my eyes closed, sounded muffled but I heard every word, I'm just thinking where am I? I've been passed out for forty minutes? I wonder if the others know where I am or what happened to me, but my nose sure does hurt, I hope I didn't break it, I looked up to see no straps on me, thinking I should be strapped down, this isn't a test there just checking on me for something,
"We don't need to take more blood from him sir. He lost enough on the floor and I took enough samples of it so we should be good until now-"
"But their plan Jeffry? To leave? I don't trust him to be unstrapped like this we need more blood from this child to complete sir Orlando's orders, he needs at least two pints,"
All I thought was damn they don't want to kill me, but need me that much? Holy shit, I better not move or they think I heard everything,
"So Dr Gene what should we do then?"
"We need to wait Jeffry, we need some spies to watch and tell them lies to keep them in longer and then once he is healthy again we can take as many again, we need to convince Red to tell him he needs to stay and don't plan anything, have you told the nurse what happened??"
"No sir, once I take him back to the nurse she'll be oblique of the situation, it's best for others not to know or she'll be kind to tell our plan to the kids, I'll just take him to the nurse and tell her I found him,"
"Good Jeffry, I'm counting on you not to fail sir Orlando, take him back,"
"Yes sir!" He grabbed my arm and pulled some sort of wire off of me, if my heart beated more than they knew I would've been awake, I don't know how I kept a steady calm pace, after what I heard, what are they going to do with me? Why my blood? What is so special about me I have yet to know. He rolled me down the hallway of the nurses side,
"Excuse me nurse Joy take care of Max for me, he fell and possibly broke his nose I found him lying face first in a puddle of blood so it's possible-"
"Oh no!! I'll get him fixed right up Jeffry!"
"Thanks nurse Joy and allow his friends to come in, there worried about him," I had my eyes barely closed to the point I can only see his head move down at me and nod and he took off, I can't freak out and just tell them what they said and where they had me, ima need to play in front of nurse Joy until I can go, I'll make them really think I didn't hear anything, so as soon as Jeffry closed the door I "woke up".
"Owe my nose," as I tried to raise up to look more confused,
"Wait Max hold on you were passed out you need to take a little time to move, I'll get you some medicine, and an ice pack for you ok? Just lay here for now."
"Oh ok thank you Nurse Joy", I felt a pair of eyes staring me down so I made it more by putting my hand on my head and on my nose and laid back down, assuring who was watching me knew, and then they came,
"Max!" Both Red and Magallena said that as worried and Meagan came in calm,
"Hey guys don't crowd him he needs his air-"
"Max are you ok? When Magallena and I came back you were gone, we didn't know where to look first but the other nurses didn't know so we came here last and just now she said you just woke up in here with Nurse Joy so we got worried,"
"Red calm down I'm fine," I turned my head to look at the other door to make sure he was gone,
"Guys look, I wasn't with any nurses I was with a guy named Jeffry and Dr Gene, it may sound weird but I was in this chamber, I was laying down, and I saw a lot of wires and computers, they talked about my blood and them needing a spy for me to not plan to leave this place, and Red," as I turned and looked at him,
"They were gonna tell you something to keep convincing on something, I just don't know why, they want me for something, they heard about our plan. That Jeffry guy has been listening to us, but now he is gonna have a spy among us to keep me here, until I have more blood again, god I need to lay down-"
"Hey hey Max settle down you just went through a lot it looks like, and them convincing me? Hell I believe you more than them so I'll agree with them but won't do it, I just don't know why either,"
As I laid my head back once more I see Meagans beautiful face come up over me, I'm still astonished she changed me, but why now? What is happening, and she spoke with my starring thoughts,
"Look Max I had the same dream to last night, of us playing tag, and I remember me falling and landing on a stick that went through my arm , and I saw you faint and so it happened to you, but I think I realized. If you fell in your dream and it actually happened what about me?-" as she said that Nurse Joy came back in rushing with an ice pack and a hammer to break it up,
"Ok max I got the Ice pack let me break it up so you can be able to place around your nose-"
After she couldnt even finish, and all four of us look at her as she tripped over a rolling stool, the ice pack fell and the hammer on her left hand dropped and the back end side went through her arm, Magallena and Red freaked and called for help as Nurse Joy screamed, Meagan and I looked at each other and only guess, it's something to do with our dream, somethings going to happen soon, but to think about what happened to her happened to someone else, so what happens to me is actual, but why,
"Max I think I found the connection, the dream where I fell with a stick in my arm, do our dreams match?"
"But hold on Meagan, this is weird why her and not you?" I looked at her as she looked at Nurse Joy in pain as the other nurses came in to help her up, she looked back at me with a straight face. Just thinking,
"Something's up Max, they need you for something. I don't think it's for super soldiers I had in my dream, it's something else that I don't know,"
I looked at her with a puzzled look. But to think context, whatever happens to her in her dream will happen to others around her, whatever happens to my dream to myself it'll happen to me, I don't know how it came to this, but that's why they watch my dream. To see what will happen next so they can use it for themselves. That's why they want me to think more happy, and stop thinking negative so something good will happen and help out the City more, but do I want this cause? Is this true?
"So Meagan I think I realized what they want. For me to think more happy and think of something they want to have, so it'll happen to them-"
"So to fall on your nose?" When she butted in she put a good thought, is it just physical? Or around me,
"Well Meagan I gotta wait for tonight to sleep and maybe a different dream will happen maybe something around me? Or could it be that I dreamed of you falling and that what has occurred?" She took to thought on that one, it's not her. It's what I have in my dream that'll happen around me, that could be it,
"Then why do I have this connection with you Max? Hell I had so many dreams about you and they haven't happened,"
"Well to think Meagan, you getting around me caused this, so when we are together. They happen. You got led to me, I just saw you in my dream the other night-"
"So it was a late prediction that you knew I was coming, Max we found something important. They know something, this what they wanted, I showed up and now it's coming together,"
She paused because she was getting to loud, I look at her with my finger on my lips, to let her know they could be listening, this is something to keep secret, if they find out Meagan will be involved, she is the one who brings out my dreams. But I still don't get it..
"Here you go Max, they're taking Nurse Joy to get checked on, put that on your nose and you should be good," as Red was giving me the ice pack, I put it down on the seat next to me,
"Thank you Red, and Meagan and I figured out the situation while this was going on, but I'll tell you later, we might be watched,"
"Ok Max I believe you, but we gotta clean up all this blood, she got hurt bad-"
"Where's Magallena?" I said that as I stood up,
"Woah Max you need to be slow-"
"No no Meagan she was just here, Red did you see her go anywhere?" Red gave me a blank face, confused as well,
"Now you mention it, I think she took off during this commotion, where did she go?"
We all looked around us hoping to see her, but no clue was to be found, then Meagan had a thought,
"Wait she isn't good around blood, I'll check the Restroom, you guys clean up, I'll be right back"
Meagan took off with a troubling look, Red and I looked at each other, and tried our best to clean up, knowing that Meagan came back,
"Hey guys I was right she couldn't handle the blood so she ran to the toilet, she's fine but she barfed up enough, ill keep an eye on her, Max rest up, we need another dream to confirm anything about our prediction,"
"Prediction?" I grabbed Reds shoulder and told him ill talk more in the room tonight, and all of that later, I picked up the ice pack and we walked to the room.

When we got back the blood on the floor was cleaned up spotless, we knew someone was gonna come in so I told him to act natural about nothing happened, we heard the footsteps come down the hall.
"Max.." I waved at Red to keep a natural face and to act whatever they say,
"*knock knock* Dear Max you might not know me but im Dr Gene, I was so happened to walk by when this child took off for help," he pointed at Red knowing he never seen him before, I just had to play along like I don't know anything,
"Oh Thank you very much Dr, I was told I had lost a lot of blood from Nurse Joy, thanks to you im still here,"
"Oh don't worry Max, we work at the City to assure greatness and positivity, I only help those, so no thanks needed it's my Job, but I do need time to talk to Red if you don't mind me butting in the conversation?" He said that as he leaned in with a little smirk, he turned towards Red, and I nod at him to know he wont do anything bad to him, and he put his hand on his shoulder and they walked out.

10 minutes later

As my heart beated fast Knowing this has been a long time since I didn't move my position , I might get sore waiting like this, so I stood up and got close the open door, I put my ear near it to listen better,
"With all that dear Red do you understand? I'm just watching his health, and you should, if this ever happens again contact me to assure he is ok, you care for your friend yes? Then do it, that is all," and I heard heavy footsteps go the opposite direction, Red walked back in,
"So Max he threatened me," I looked at him like I knew what he said,
"What do you mean by threaten? Like forcefully or?-"
"He said if I didn't convince you soon he will kill me!"
A long pause followed that, Red looked at me while I didn't know what to see we just looked at each other, and he looked down, and sat down,
"Max he said he knows what we are doing, or planning at the moment, he said he will stop all of us that tries to escape, he told me not to tel you about that. But I should let you know because we can't leave, my life or yours."
I stared at him wondering what is going on in his head, and I had to tell him,
"Red, we don't have a plan, he doesn't know what we are doing, he can't know, if we wait for my dream-"
"We can't wait Max! We can't, I'm dead if this goes on, but I will say this, he said I have to do it in two days. So you have time to change, and think about it, because I'm not dying," and he walked out the room and stormed off, possibly to talk to Magallena. And in right timing,
"Max? Why did Red take off?"
I sat down and laid both hands on my head as she walked up to me and sat down next to me,
"Well Meagan, the guy that 'helped me' told him that he has two days to convince me to change it he is dead, and I know it's a lot to hear that, but he shouldn't trust him, I told him to wait for my dream but he doesn't,"
Meagan put her hand on my shoulder,
"Look Max, let him get through this, if he wants you to change to save his life then do it, was that all he told him?"
I looked up at her and nearly teared up,
"He said he will stop our plan, but we haven't planned anything that's what I don't get Meagan,"
"Well Max how about we figure a plan, don't think it right now. Think it in your sleep, you can fall asleep and it should dream it, I don't promise but I might have the same if you just think about it, anything can happen,"
I looked at Meagan and I stood up and reached my arms out for a hung, and she gave it,
"Thank you Meagan, I'm not a good thinker, but when your here I know there is hope.." My eyes were watery, but I held the tears in, and we had a long hug, a good one to figure things out, I feel worried and over joyed...
