Chapter 14: Another Capture
"There he is!"
Samurai points out towards the bush. I also take a look and notice a Scyther who seems to be hostile towards the top of a tree.
"SCY! SCY!"
"Oi. Samurai, do you see what he's yelling at?"
"I don't know, I can't see."
"All right, you lure it out to battle while I go check out what it's yelling at."
"Ok!"
"Make sure to catch it!"
"I will!" Samurai says while griping Pinsir's ball and dashing off towards the Scyther.
I watch as he slowly approaches and yells to gain it's attention.
"I'm gonna catch you today Scyther!"
I stay hidden in the bushes slowly walking towards them. Samurai sends out Pinsir and quickly moves the battle elsewhere.
I dart off towards where Scyther was standing previously to look where it was yelling at.
I scan the tree tops til I eventually see it, "a Heracross!"
The Heracross is at the top of a tree sucking it's sap, it seems the Scyther was so angry because this was it's territory.
I decide to 'Observe' it.

Age - 3
Tier - Starter
Type - Bug, Fighting
Ability - Moxie
Special Ability - (Locked, can't be seen til Pokémon is caught)
Moxie - When a Pokémon with Moxie directly causes another Pokémon (including allies) to faint by using a damaging move, its Attack is increased by one stage. If its Attack is already at +6 stages, Moxie will not activate.
Move Set - Arm Thrust, Bullet Seed, Night Slash, Tackle, Leer, Horn Attack, Feint, Endure, Aerial Ace, Chip Away, Counter, Seismic Toss, Mega Horn]
What the fuck!? What's with this forest!
I definitely got to catch him! It could be a rival to Samurai's Pinsir!
"Let's tear him off, Go Totodile." I throw Totodile's ball releasing him in front of me, he does his little Donald Duck garble voice before I tell him, "Just use a weak water gun to get him down."
"Toto" he yells while giving me a salute.
He then launches a weak water gun which is only enough to get the Heracross down. It successfully hits the Heracross who flinches from the sudden attack before falling to the ground.
"Good job Totodile, now return!" I return him to his ball before sending out Charmander.
"All right Charmander, this Heracross is about as strong as you, I want us to try to beat it without using our fire-type moves."
"Char!"
{Alright start off with a Dragon Dance!}
Charmander emits a purple light which also snaps Heracross, who was laying on the ground out of its daze back into focus.
"HeraCrohhss!"
{Quick go for scratch!}
Charmander charges at Heracross with its hand glowing white from his increased stats, he quickly arrives infront of Heracross with his increased speed and uses a powerful scratch right on the front of its shell.
Only to do minor damage before immediately being hit with a powerful Counter attack!
ZooOOOOM
Charmander is launched across the battlefield even going past and landing behind me!
{You okay buddy?!}
"CHAR!"
{Alright let's do this! Get closer and use Smokecreen, after that keep scratching him with hit and run tactics!}
Charmander quickly nods and accepts, charging towards Heracross once again while unleashing a pitch black smog from his snout to destroy the visibility in the area.
I spread my aura to the surroundings to sense the battlefield through the fog. I feel Charmander quickly hitting Heracross and retreating due to his faster speed.
I notice Heracross isn't taking much damage then I realize what move he is using, "Endure!"
Heracross is squatting on it legs while covering its shell with its eyes closed.
{Charmander he is using endure! Charge up another Dragon Dance!}
Charmander pauses his attacks and emits a purple aura once again. I noticed Heracross open its eyes and quickly lunge for Charmander.
{Charmander look out!} but, it's too late.
Heracross grips Charmander into a tight hold before releasing his wings and taking off towards the sky, "Seismic Toss!"
Shit!
Heracross begins to spin in the air before abruptly turning and heading towards the ground. The increased rotations cause them to pick up speed, as they get closer to the ground Heracross quickly releases Charmander allowing him to carry the momentum to the ground!
BooOom!
A crater is formed with Charmander in the center!
Oh no!
But, Charmander refuses to give in! Maybe it was from the unyielding spirit he gained after resolving to never be bullied like he was when he lived with the other Charmanders or maybe it was from something deep in his bones as a sovereign, he got back up.
"CHARRR!!!"
His claws grew even longer as he stood back up, they emit a much more bright white energy before he roars once again charging towards the stunned Heracross.
Heracross loses focus due to his surprise of Charmander's reluctance to go down!
Charmander quickly jumps towards Heracross and unleashes it scrat—no Slash attack!
Charmander slashes him hitting with a critical hit!
Heracross begins to blast off from the attack, but was able to react on reflex slamming another counter into Charmander as he was slashed!
They both blast off, repelling from each other. They land on the ground I look over at Charmander who has swirls in his eyes. Damn, he couldn't do it but he did a damn good job without his fire type moves even learning slash!
I look over at Heracross to see it still standing in defiance. He looks indifferent in his eyes as they are half closed. I thought it was looking down on me til suddenly I hear.....a snore!
Fucker fell asleep!
Probably was too tired after this battle and is just inherently lazy.
I quickly toss a Pokéball to the already weak Heracross and he is quickly absorbed inside.
'Shake'

'Click!'
