Chapter 7: Anomaly
It's been 4 years since summer camp and they are about to hold a new one but, I'm not going to go. I have just turned 14 today and you know what that means,
I can FINALLY start my journey! Fuck yeah!
I sit up off my bed and grab my cap that was hanging off my bed post and head towards my closet.
I open my closet and put on a some tidey whiteys then a black long sleeved shirt, black jeans, white socks then put on the classic red short sleeve jacket and finish with putting my cap on as Pikachu and Totodile wake up.
I head downstairs with them following behind and sit down to eat.
"Morning Alex! Are you ready to start your journey today?"
"Haha, I've been waiting 14 years for this!"
"Alright dear I'll pack your bag while you eat."
"Thanks mom."
These 4 years have just been more training and bonding with my Pokémon. Pikachu has almost hit Champion class so, he is already a little monster, especially since we have only gone through training and almost no battles.
Totodile is almost Elite but I haven't let him evolve yet as I found a everstone, and had him hold it so he can be even stronger once he evolves.

I'm satisfied with his growth but I definitely have to teach him some water tms soon.
I give him and Pikachu their food before finishing up and going to wake up Ash to wish him goodbye.
I enter his room and kick him awake,
"Ash I'm starting my journey today! Come wish your big brother goodbye!"
"Hm...?" He groggily gets up while rubbing his eyes.
"No fair, I want to go on a journey too...."
"Haha too bad you have to wait 4 more years. Alright come downstairs mom is waiting for you."
We both head downstairs and talk for a while before mom makes us take pictures. I get ready to leave and grab my bag.
"Honey don't forget your food and I packed extra undies for you."
"Thanks mom." I say while giving her a hug.
"Thanks, for everything. I'll miss you a lot and I'll make sure to visit often."
"Oh honey!" She says while giving me a hug and starts to cry.
"Love ya mom" I say with a smile and swollen eyes.
"Ash I'll be waiting for you to challenge me one day when I'm champion!!" I yell while running over to oak's lab.
"I'll be there!!" I hear from the distance as a smile plasters my face.

I arrive at Oaks lab and open up the door. I see two kid already inside, one of them is Daisy and the other is a boy I don't recognize. There is also a machine that is covered with a sheet.
I walk in and Daisy greets me, "Hey Alex! Are you ready to go on a journey!"
"Yeah, can't wait!"
I walk over to the other kid, and say, "Hey I'm Alex, what's your name?"
He seems like some snotty kid, kinda reminds me of Gary, "I'm Darius the future champion!"
I look at the kid and just see arrogance, He has red hair with gray eyes and is wearing a blue bomber jacket, white t-shirt and black jeans with white shoes.
"Cool, nice to meet you."
He seems a bit apprehensive from my lack of response, as I really don't think this kid will get far.
"That's a nice Pikachu you got there, too bad they are too weak!"
Pikachu on my shoulder doesn't even glance at the kid while I have Totodile in his ball.
"Ok."
"—Eh!"
I turn over to Daisy and ask what she wants to choose.
"I want to get a Bulbasaur they are so cute!"
We continue to talk for a while and ignore Darius completely til Oak arrives.
"Good Morning everyone! Today I will give you your new trainer licenses, a Pokédex and 5 Pokéballs to start your journey! But let's get to the fun stuff first!"
He uncovers the machine and reveals three Pokéballs on the machine each marked with a sticker with an elemental symbol.
"The three Kanto starters! Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander! Daisy you can choose first!"
"Okay, grandpa!"
She quickly grabs the ball with the leaf symbol on it and throws it into the air as a Bulbasaur erupts from within and she catches it in her arms.
"Nice to meet you Bulbasaur! I'm Daisy your new trainer!"
"Saur!"
"Alright Darius, you can go next."
"Hmph." He walks up to the ball with a water Pokémon and throws it out. Squirtle comes out from the ball.
"Squirtle! Squirtle!!"
"Nice, with him I'll easily conquer all the gyms!"
He looks over at me in distain? I don't really care, and then acts superior.
"Alright Alex, you're next."
"Well I wanted him anyways, I'm glad I got him."
I grab the Pokéball with a fire emblem and toss it into the air, "Charmander, I choose you!"
From the air a giant golden Charmander erupts from within and I hastily caught him in my arms almost dropping him from his weight and size. I stare at him in shock while Oak says, "I decide to give you this one as he is just born and has been bullied from the training grounds as different color and abnormality. I hope for you to help him recover just like your Pikachu."
Darius starts to laugh in the background while yelling, "Haha his is defective!!"
I stare at Charmander in shock as it looks up at me wearily. I give him a big smile while patting him on the head. "Nice to have you on board Charmander."
While in my head I'm thinking, Holy Shit! I'm going to have a giant black Charizard! Holy Shit!!! Fuck yes!!
