Chapter 3: Recovery
"Uhhhgg" I grunt out while rolling to my back. Damn what a day, wait....what time is it!? I look up to the sky and notice the sun seems to have just come out.
Damn I stayed out all night! They must be worried sick. I feel something curled up to my side and look down to see Pikachu.
He begins to wake up after I moved and slowly blinks his eyes open.
"Pika...?"
He seems unsure of what to do so I pick him up before giving him a big hug,
"I'm glad you're okay, Pikachu." I say with a big smile while snuggling him on my cheek.
"Pi!"
I notice him flinch and look at him, "Ah! Are you alright!"
He is still injured and only gives off a light "Pi...."
"Don't worry I'll take you somewhere to get healed."
I pick him up and notice I'm a bit lost..
"Pikachu...Um you wouldn't happen to know how to get back..?" I say with a wry smile.
He looks at me like I'm an idiot and points at a random direction, "Thanks Pikachu."
I notice the light from the sun begins to hurt his eyes and quickly take out Red's Hat from my inventory which looks exactly as the same as from FireRed.
I put it onto his head to shade his eyes and he simply looks at with surprise, "Pika!"
He snuggles into my grip as I continue to walk out the forest.

"Alex!" Mom runs towards me after I emerge from the forest along side Daisy.
"Hey mom!" I say towards her as she pulls me into a hug, "Where were you?! I heard from Daisy you chased after a Pikachu! Then you didn't come home at night I was worried sick!"
"Sorry mom, lots of things happened."
She looks at my arms to see Pikachu snuggled up against them sleeping.
"I need to take him to Professor Oak to be healed, I'll come home soon after."
"You better tell me everything that happened after you get back!"
"Alright mom I'll be home soon." I say running off to Daisy side, "Sorry for worrying you Daisy." I say after seeing he pouting at me with tears at corner of her eyes.
She quickly pushes me into a hug, "I was worried..." I pat her head while telling her, "I'm alright...let's go to your grandpa's lab to heal Pikachu."
"Okay.."
We travel to the lab together at a brisk pace and I quickly go to the professor.
"Professor Oak! Please help me heal Pikachu again!"
He surprised when he sees me and quickly tells me to follow him as we put Pikachu on a table.
"Where were you last night?"
"You aren't gonna believe this professor."
I say with a smug face. I begin to recount everything I saw that happened to Pikachu including his outcast from the others while Oak looks in surprise and confusion as he has never heard of anything like this before.
"You haven't heard anything yet!" I begin to recount when we attacked and he seems worried about my condition when I told him.
"Then the thunder picked up and I heard a screech in the sky and we were attacked by Zapdos!" His eyes widen in surprise, "Are you sure!?!"
"Yes I'm 100% sure! Zapdos thought Pikachu challenged him and struck him with the most powerful Thunder I have ever seen!"
He glanced over at Pikachu wearily in awe and confusion on how it survived.
"Pikachu managed to survive but his heart stopped and I revived him but when I did he puked his light ball out. Look at this..." I say while pulling it out.
Oak is shocked seeing the blue light ball that seems to produce raw power. "Incredible! Alex allow me to research this, I've never seen anything like it!"
"Alright but make sure to give it back!"
"Don't worry I won't keep it."
He rushes off to begin his research while I return to Pikachu side with Daisy still in a daze from my story. She seems worried that I encountered such a powerful Pokémon and begins to hug me before falling asleep on my shoulder. I guess she was really worried last night and didn't get any sleep...
I notice I have a notification from the system and open it.

Eh..? I unlocked my aura? Like Lucario or the Aura Guardians?
I quickly say, "status"

Tsk not gonna tell me more then huh? Guess I should probably train it as it might be useful later on.
I decide to try and scan Pikachu as well,

This Pikachu will grow very powerful with his ability, including the light ball he has massive potential. Hopeful he will want to join me..
