Chapter 67: Faith
Hunter brought me a sandwich as I normally got for dinner even though it was only lunch, he also brought me an apple and a glass of milk. I checked everything and then ate and drank everything. He hadn't left the room yet and I was done, although he was sitting at a desk on a computer. I could see he was trying to contact people and was looking up our country.
"The virus spread... and they still didn't have a cure for it when the storm hit. Anyone who caught it is dead it also hit places that high ranks were moved to. Almost everyone is probably dead, and if they weren't killed by the virus I'm sure the other country sent people to go kill them. Or it's possible that we went into a civil war after the virus hit enough elites so the low-tiers saw it as a good time to fight back since people and the government were weaker." I said very calmly.
"How do you know any of that?" Hunter said, I could see angry in his eyes.
"John and my Uncle."
"They don't know anything." He said
"John was the presidents right hand man and was him when he was evacuated and my uncle was there as well since he was a general."
"Well how would they even contact you for you to know this?!? It's not like you had a phone." I could hear his anger in his voice.
"I would show you but you broke my phone so I no longer have the messages." As I said this hatred and anger came through with my voice, which I could tell immediately caught Hunter off guard because I had been so calm until that point.
"Sorry it broke, it was mine anyways though." He said we matched the anger in our words. He turned away from me clearly done with the conversation we were having.
"You gave it to me though as a gift. Then you broke it, you took them away." I said and anger turned to sadness and tears started running down my face.
"What do you mean by that? It's not like any of us have contact our families either." He was still facing his computer with his back to me as he said it and I could still hear anger in his voice.
"Your such a dick! I can't believe I thought that people were lying when they said you were like this! I shouldn't of ever let myself fall for you!" I yelled with tears still running down my face and I throw the plate at him.
I hit him with the plate on the back of his head which really pushed him over the edge. He got out and through me off the bed then put a shield around me and was making it shrink until I was on me knees bowing to him. He kept making it small which was hurting me, I let out a scream as I felt the pressure break my arm. He stopped and let the shield go. I looked up at him crying even harder with a look of hatred in my eyes and grabbed my now broken arm. I could see regret on his face again, as he had snapped back out of it.
"I'm sorry Megs." He said as he reach out for me to help me up.
"Don't touch me!" I yelled. I wasn't strong enough to pick myself up. I heard Sydney and Logan walk into the room and they started to walk over as I said "I hope your family didn't die of the virus because that would be to quick and kind. I hope they were killed by soldiers and that they suffered." I was so angry and I didn't really mean it but you could see the hatred in my eyes and hear it clear as day in my voice. I saw Lea and the other two royals were also in the door way and they looked shocked by my statement. Honestly everyone did.
I felt a beam go through my stomach. I saw Leas eyes glowing and her hand pointed at me. Hunter dropped to the ground and held me as I started bleeding and he put a shield up around us. The beam hadn't cut very deep but it was enough that I couldn't feel there hearts anymore. I was using my powers to try and give them more blood and start there hearts again but I couldn't.
"No... why won't it work. Get away from me!" I said as I pulled water from the ground and it got put over my stomach. I pushed Hunter away and forced myself to get up off the ground. I felt my water break and blood start running down my legs. I used my powers and lifted myself off the ground and out the window. I could hear them behind me they were following me, but I was faster. I went to the pond and I gave birth to 2 children. Both still and lifeless. I could see the burns on the caused by her beam.
I held them both in my arms. I used my powers to try to restart there hearts and to get there blood to move but it didn't do anything. I sat on my knees in the grass crying over them. Apologies as I tried to wake them. I heard them come behind me but the kept a distance as they were trying to figure out what I was doing and why I was saying "sorry". I sat there for a while crying and anytime they tried to get close the wind pushed them back. I the light dimmed as the sun began to set and I finally looked back and I saw Lea standing there with them. I was so angry I stood up and turned away from the dead children that my figure had been hiding. I saw all of there looks change as angry had taken over me. "You took them away from me... you killed my babies!" I yelled with tears streaming down my face, I set a ring of wind around her. Then I lite her on fire, she screamed as the flames engulfed her body. She tried putting them out but it wouldn't work, eventually her body fell to ground burning and lifeless. The fires didn't distinguish until there was nothing left of her but ashes.
