Chapter 28: Hunter

What the hell is she doing. First off she freaked out and was very insistent on me getting her to a beach. I mean she obviously wasn't strong enough to even pick herself up so I couldn't let her go alone and I don't think she would of even made it on her own. Then she dart into the water, honestly I didn't realize she is this fast until now. No wonder she disappears at school so easily and people don't notice her, she doesn't stick around long enough for anyone to even do so. She went under water a while ago, I'm not sure she is strong enough to even swim, so I need to get into the water to find her. The air is cold right now so even once she get out we're gonna get sick if we don't get to a house soon enough. I walked into the water but the moment my foot touched it I could feel how cold it was, it was cold enough that someone's body would shut down if they were in it for to long, it couldn't of been more than 55F degrees. She was going to shut down since she was completely submerged and she was so weak she might have shut down already. Where the hell is she at I can't see anything in this lighting and the water almost seems murky. I was in about to my knees when I thought I saw glowing white glowing eyes in the distance but there's no way, I have to be tired and cold so I'm seeing things. Then out of nowhere water shot up in funnel, it looked like a tornado and I felt the earth shaking underneath my feet. I lost my balance and started to fall backwards but I caught myself as I jumped out of the water. I thought I saw a figure inside the water tornado, it had white glowing eyes. I had fought against a lot of elite opponents and even some mid-tier ones but I never have seen ones eyes glow white. I've seen golds, reds,greens, yellows, organs, purples, and blues, but I haven't ever seen white. I don't know if I'm seeing things or not right now, I can feel the ground shaking and the wind whipping around and I can hear it howling and I can see trees moving, so I don't think I'm imaging this water tornado. That means this person probably has strong abilities, I haven't actually ever seen anyone who can control elements. I have read about elites having the abilities to control the elements, but I haven't ever seen it up close or let alone fought against one. Whoever this is I think got in the way early and is probably pretty strong, but whoever it is stands in the way of me finding Megs and I'm not sure her body will be able to take much more of the cold and she probably doesn't have much air or time left. I need to get this over with so I can find her. The water tornado got closer and closer as the figure appears to be walking towards the beach where I am standing. I put up my shield waiting for an attack but it didn't seem to be happening. My shields can trap or crush my opponent(s) and I can also used it to protect myself because anything thrown at my shield gets reflected and the attack damage doubles and is fires at my opponent(s). Unless the person is more powerful than I am in which case they can potentially break through my shield.
