Chapter 15: Trains
I got back to my dorm and was about to walk in when I heard my ex roommate Sam call "Megan!" I turned towards her to see her standing outside her room in normal clothes. Sam has short brown hair and grey eyes. She wasn't in shape and is bigger than me but I'm taller than her.
"Why are you still in your uniform, and why do you still have your stuff?"
"Oh, I went out to get some stuff and I went after class since less people would notice me."
"Ok well then, I have some other questions."
"I don't have to answer them or tell you anything. Also since when did u care about anything I do Sam."
"Since you started getting your @ss kicked and drawing attention to yourself, and in turn you draw more attention to the rest of us low-tiers as well. Your actions are affecting the rest of us so your gonna answer my questions."
"I didn't know you guys were being affected as well, but I wasn't trying to draw attention to make things worse for any of us."
"Well Megan, it does. Now where the hell have you been. You didn't come into your room once last weekend so where have you been!?"
"I was busy. I went to help my partner finish our English project that was due the other day, but as you said I've drown a lot of attention to myself lately because of who he is. I got beat up and was in the infirmary the rest of the weekend."
"I don't believe you."
"That's a you problem, I don't care if you believe me or not. What happened happened and that the end of it. Also since your so concerned about what I'm doing and where I'm at I'll let you know I'm leaving and won't be back until next weekend." I said clearly irritated as I opened up my door. "Now if you don't mind I need to go back so I can leave."
I shut the door and walked over to my rooms door and unlocked it and went over to the phone to call my mom.
"Hello."
"Hi mom."
"How are you sweetie."
"I'm good mom, I'm call to let you know that I'll be home tomorrow and I'm bring a friend with me."
"What! Megan you know I can afford a the train tickets for that!"
"Mom don't worry about it, my friends family doesn't want him to come home so instead they gave him money so he bought us tickets so that way I can come home and he won't have to stay on campus."
"Megan, you can have someone pay for your ticket. We don't take handouts."
"Mom it isn't a handout though, I've been helping him with English and he has no were else to so he'd stay with us so it's kind of like a trade off."
"This friend of your isn't a low-tier is he."
"No, but neither am I. It doesn't matter, I already told him in order to stay with us. We are getting on a train tonight and we'll be at the house tomorrow morning." I said quickly.
"Ok well I'll go get more food and I'll let your uncle know. I'll see you tomorrow hun. Love you."
"Love you too mom. See you tomorrow."
I hung up and started to pack. I got my clothes and put them in my duffel bag. I grabbed my bag and locked the doors to my room and walked out to the gate. Almost nobody was on campus anymore, most student were on there ways back home or were back home by 6 when we got back to the dorms now it going on 9. Hunter was waiting for me with a duffle bag of his own. He smiled as we both saw each other. We walked to the train station, by the time we arrived our train was there. We got on the train and we were some of the only people on the train. I was so tired from the past few month I had. I closed my eyes. I was sitting right next to Hunter, my Jack. I never thought we'd be an us and not just simply individuals and left as that. It was like I was dreaming. To these thoughts and his warmth and surrounded by his smell, I fell asleep.
