Chapter 14: Secrets
"I'm so sorry Meg, I should of asked if I could kiss you. I just assumed that.."
"No. Please don't apologize. I'm sorry I pulled away. I want you to be next to me and kiss me but I just wasn't expecting it, and I guess it just a little fast."
"Okay, I'll ask next time that way you know and we can wait to if you want."
"Thank you, but Hunter. I have a question because umm well now what does this make us?"
"This makes us a secret relationship. If that clarifies things any better.... I mean long as you want this to be relationship" Hunters voice became more anxious as he finished his sentence. "I guess it's really up to you."
"I want it to be a relationship, even though it means I have to keep being with you a secret." I said with a smile, and Hunter smiled back at me. We were official I had him and I wasn't alone anymore.
"Megan, want to get some ice cream, there's a really good place down the street. It's not much of a walk."
"Yeah I'd enjoy that, but aren't you worried that someone will see us together. After all that the entire reason we come here is because we know other people who know us won't be here."
"Okay, if you really worried about I could always leave you outside and get us ice cream and then we can go to the park or something and eat our ice cream and walk around or we can eat it and start heading back. Since you need to pack you stuff to go home."
"What do you I need to pack my stuff? Silly, don't you remember my mom can't afford for me to be able to go home."
"Yeah, but Megan you were so upset after you told me that and I hated to see you that way, so I bought you a ticket home and a ticket back here to school. I was planning on giving them to you when we got back to school."
"What!? Hunter, you shouldn't of done that... I mean thank you, but I was excited to be able to spend more time with you. Since everyone for the most part is going to be gone I was thinking we could go do more."
"Yeah, but I wanted you to be able to see your family. I would love to spend more time with you. I just am not close with my family and they never want to see me so you should be able to see your family since your family wants to see you and you want to see them."
"Hunter what if you come with me."
"We don't have any battle we are scheduled to fight, but are you sure that you would want me to go back with."
"Yeah, I mean as long as you want. It's probably not as nice as you are used to and you can't use your abilities. I figure though since none of us have strong abilities nobody will be able to sense your abilities and as long as you don't us them everyone will think you like us and we will be far enough away that nobody will know us, so we will be able to go out and do stuff together without anyone questioning it. Plus I think my mom would enjoy that I'm not alone anymore. I understand if..."
"I want to, but Meg I think you should give you mom a heads up. That we are coming, and I'll remember not to us my abilities."
"Okay, let's head back then so we can pack! I'll call my mom when we get back to school. When are we gonna leave to get there though?"
"We can leave tomorrow morning, or we could leave tonight if you wanted. The last train tonight isn't supposed to leave until 10:30 and it's only 5 right now."
"Okay, if we leave tonight then we will get there tomorrow morning, so we can spend time with my mom and my uncle normally comes over on Sunday and we normally have a family cookout." I smiled and you could hear the excitement in my voice. Hunter smiled as well, and we walked back to school and then separated as always to go back to the dorms.
