Chapter 12: Last Week

I walked farther away so I couldn't hear there conversation anymore, not that it was my business anyways. I don't get it though. He has never been mean to me and even when I question him while we are at school he still hasn't ever laid a hand on me to remind me of my place. He had even made sure I was ok when he had found out that something happened to me. Everyone else is so afraid of him but I haven't even actually seen him use his abilities, I know his score is a 7.8 and he's only a first year our current king is only an 8 and he's a fourth year. Hunters score probably won't get much higher than what it is right now but I heard before that he's estimated to have a score somewhere between 8.2-8.8 depending on how much he kept using and practicing his abilities. He will probably end up to have a score of at least 9, which will open up positions like CEO and power positions of that nature for him. I wish I could be tested and use my powers, I know I'm an elite and being an elite would be enough to be able to be with him or at least make our current relationship or whatever it is public. He's different though because most elites wouldn't of even pretended to care or put up with me this much during a group project. If this really is a friendship that's formed between us then I know it's real because he doesn't care about my rank or if I have abilities and that could make him the best king we have had yet. It already makes him the best elite I've ever meant. The week flew by, and it was Friday before I knew it. I'd only gotten beat up 2 times during school so far so clearly people were beginning to forget I existed again what I'd exactly what I wanted. I still got my arm broken during the one and my leg broke in the other, but it could of been worse. I have gotten broke bones so many times now but I'm still not used to the feeling and it still is just as painful every time. I'm lucky though, I can go to the infirmary and mine will be healed in a few hours instead of if I was back home it would take months. I also didn't mind missing a few classes. I got beat up the one morning and Hunter came to check on me since I wasn't in class, and he kept me company for a little while. It was nice, it's hard to believe that someone can be so different depending on who the person is. Doesn't change the fact that I still want him though, I'm not sure if it should though. We did our presentation in English it was really easy to do and we got our grade back immediately. We got an A- that's pretty good although it didn't bring up my average for the class. After we got it Hunter whispered "Meet me after school at the gates and well go out to eat, my treat."
