Chapter 182: The Results

Anton took Yanmei's hand and pecked on palms. He said, "Yanmei. It's okay. There is still time."

She forced a smile and nodded.

The couple drove back to the office in silence. Yanmei had been staring blankly at the window, looking past streets, cars, and buildings. She was dwelling on what the doctor said to them.

She had developed a small cyst in her uterus, but according to the doctor, it was not serious and will go away on its own. She was not pregnant, but she had a hormonal imbalance that affected her menstrual cycle. That was the result of her check-up. 

"I doubt that this is the reason for not conceiving a child. Moreover, you had just started having intercourse in months. Infertility is technically concluded after a year of trying to make a baby, so try not to worry much about it."
