Chapter 549: Coincidence?

Just as Ivy had expected, as soon Noah left the room, all the people around her surrounded her, ready to fire their questions at her. Their curiosity knew no bounds, and Ivy saw the suspicion in their eyes. Seeing their countenance, she was sure that they would not let her go until they got the answers they needed. But how was she supposed to answer them when she herself was not prepared with an answer for them?

Ivy closed her eyes, hoping for someone to get her out of her predicament. No sooner did she wish for a miracle, her prayers were answered in the form of a phone call. Her phone rang, and Ivy immediately sprang to her feet, sighing in relief and thanking the caller for their incredible timing.

She sent an apologetic smile at her colleagues before she ran out of the room. "Thank you so much, Ari. You saved me in time. Otherwise, I would have been dead meat by now."
