Chapter 4: New Life
- Shen Residential Mansion -
" Marshal..., Thor was back barely alive! The rebels had found them," reported Commander Luo.
" What happened to Venusa?!" Damian eyes blazing like eternal fire.
" We still looking for her, Marshal.."
Commander Luo was frightened when Damian took his gun out from his waistband holster. He aimed at the vase flower on the table and when the bullet puncture it, the whole vase break apart.
Commander Luo was shaking hard and almost pee on his pants. What was the identity of this woman that made him so furious and lost his cold composure?
Damian ordered intensely, " Find the traitor and kill him!".
"Yes, Marshal!"
Commander Luo had killed the traitor and gave him the bad news. They had found Venusa's dead body at the morgue. A clear picture of Venusa's dead body was presented to him and without warning, he punched the marble table in front of him until he bleeds furiously. He didn't even have any of her picture beside this hideous one! He started sobbing uncontrollably.
The military healer was called to heal his external wound but nothing can heal his internal wound of losing his only love.
"Ahhhhhh..." he screamed like an animal in a torture chamber.
Three days after Venusa death.
Damian was alone in the dark bedroom and shed his tears while holding a beautiful gold urn containing her ashes.
'Rest in peace, Venusa! I will make the Rebels disappeared from this world! I need to hold myself together and be more stronger than ever.....I will rule without mercy.'
- The secret organization, overseas -
The journey to overseas was not easy and took a long time by boat. After three months they finally arrived at the secret island.
"Uncle..., I am back! This time I will join the organization mission.....I brought my sister with me and my unborn child!"
The attractive middle-aged man was looking at her bump and said, " Why you left the father? Do you know how hard it is to be a single mother when your child deems to be illegitimate? Are you ready for the hardship?"
Venusa eyes sparkled with motivation. " I will learn everything you want me to master. I will learn how to use a gun, even though I dislike killing people. I will also learn medicine skills. I won't hold back anymore, uncle Lee!"
The so-called genius uncle nodded happily and requested, " Let me train the baby also at the moment he starts to walk. Your foster sister also will have to be under the organization, even though I am your uncle.., this time you are not going to stay for free..You just like your mother, my beautiful sister falls in love with a powerful marshal from faraway country only to die in the hand of the enemy. If only she learns what you learned now, she probably will survive." he sighed loudly.
His sister was so beautiful but too fragile to defend herself. Venusa was different, she had big talent as a secret agent. This time, he will train his niece all surviving skills to persevere and sustain herself.
A small voice disturbing his thought.
"Uncle, I am Venusa newly adopted sister, Maya Lin. Thanks for taking me as disciple!" Maya smiled with a strong admiration.
"Alright, follow me to the new family house!"
The spacious family house was built next to the water fountain with rough terrain and bushy big trees surrounding it.
"Uncle.., it's beautiful! Do you build it for me?" she was checking around the house and smiled satisfyingly.
"I thought you will come on vacation with your family, not to stay here forever and live or die with the organization. Even though I am the leader here.., I can't prevent you from getting killed if you making any mistake in our mission."
"I will work hard to train after I deliver my baby." she promised solemnly.
"I can start my training now, uncle!"
Maya's eyes shined with adoration.
Venusa mumbled under her breath, ' My Adonis uncle and his women admirers.'
Six years later.
"Mommy..., uncle was looking for you!"
A little sturdy boy with a boyish smile pulling on her dress.
"Alex.., I told you already to called him great uncle!"
Venusa raised her brow with disapproval.
"But mommy, since my great uncle married my aunt last month, the title doesn't make sense, and uncle was happy when I suggested this new title!"
Venusa sighed like an old lady. His uncle had an affair with Maya since day one. Maya had insisted it was mutual consent. At the beginning of their relationship, Venusa was mad because her uncle was famous for his casanova way and she worried that Maya would get hurt. But Maya made him changed his wayward way and finally after 6 years, they got married when his seeds were blooming.
"I have a mission overseas, Alex. Be good and take care of your aunty!"
"What should I called the baby? Cousin or uncle?" Alex asked teasingly.
Venusa shook his raven wavy hair playfully. Her son reminded her so much of Damian. These past six years, she had missed him like crazy. Her hatred had dissipated by times. He was too majestically handsome. All women attracted to his perfect build body, handsome feature, and high status. She had lost the competition because she was unable to stay next to him. He had a high libido and required regular sexual activity. He did not cheat on her until their separation. A small voice bringing her back to reality.
"Mommy..., Mommy.., I was talking to you....Why you did not answer?"
"I am sorry baby, I lost on my thought."
"Are you thinking of my handsome daddy?"
"What? How do you know he's handsome?" she got tricked by Alex's question, now she admitted that she was thinking of the jerk.
"Look at me..., with my look.., how come my daddy look would be common?"
Venusa facepalmed herself. Her son liked to compliment himself, either for his look or his talent, just like his uncle, the old fox.
"Alright, take care yourself! I will see your uncle and go to my mission!" she hugged his athletic strong body and kissed him on both cheeks. "I love you, son!"
Alex kissed her temple and said, " This kiss will keep you safe, mommy. This will be your biggest mission and it will take at least a year to finish..., mommy, I will miss you so much!"
- At the shore -
Three shadow at the moonlight standing by the deck, next to a boat with a driver ready to leave.
" I know you're not looking forward to seeing your husband, but your mission is to be his bodyguard. I give you this chance either to reconcile with him or cut all ties! The skin mask will cover your identity.., just protect him and help him destroy the rebels..., revenge your parents and free your past! Be safe, Venusa!" he tapped on her shoulder gently for encouragement.
"Venusa, I wish I can join you..." she looked down at her tummy and she did not taking any mission because she didn't want to risk another miscarriage. " You are a strong woman..., I knew you still love Marshal Shen..., fight for him and claim him from his other women.., or don't think of him anymore and find a new love.." Maya hugged her tightly. She had been blessed to be her sister and her aunt.
"We have to go now, leader.., before the wind change it course!" The boat driver reminded them of the wasted time.
Venusa carried her suitcase and waved goodbye.
