Chapter 1140: Did It Hurt?

"Get! UP!!!" 

The Hero's red hair swirled in the mana-wind, the bright, burning heat of the sun blazing white on his sword. 

"You're NOT done!! You are MORE than this!!"

Pale couldn't move. 

"Where's your hidden trump card?"

He begged and pleaded his body to move. 

"Where's your FINAL FORM?!?"

--and not because of the warrior's raging demands. 

"Wake up!! YOU CAN'T BE DEAD!!!"

His tearful... grieving... unreasonable demands...

They weren't meant for him. 

...

"Get up, kid."

Pale shot awake. 

He got to his feet in an instant. 

And he felt... regret. 

Pain surged through his legs-- shocking his whole chest and back.

Everything went numb and he collapsed hard, onto his knees. 

He shook and convulsed as his mind tried to process being alive. Each painful dry-heave sent roaring waves of pain throughout his body, from his face to his fingertips.
